Course Curriculum Overview

Faculties are highly qualified and have a lot of experience in teaching. The way to teaching is very interactive where you can ask any question and the faculties are up to answer. I chose CSE because there is a lot of Job opportunities and I have an interest in software development. The exams are moderately difficult and there are 3 exams every semester.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 212000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities are provided very early in the 3rd year only. Companies like Scalar, Wipro, and High Radius provide internships for various profiles. Students get an opportunity to work on live projects and get the experience of industry needs. Research papers are also mandatory for students.

Placement Experience

The CSE department has a very good placement at CU. The highest package is Rs 54 LPA and the average package is Rs 7.5 LPA. Almost 500 companies visited this year for placements like Amazon, Flipkart, Goldman Sachs, Accenture, Google, TCS, etc. You will get opportunities for various profiles like SDE, Frontend developer, Test engineer, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The cost of study is a bit high being a private college but you can get scholarships easily. Scholarship can be availed based on CUCET exam, Jee score and class 12th marks. CUCET is the scholarship exam conducted by CU and the exam fee is Rs 1000. Loans can also be availed from banks or DRCC.

Campus Life

Fests are organized on a regular basis and are the most exciting thing here at CU. The annual fest is named CU Fest and the freshers party is named Aaghaz. The classrooms are very nice and the labs are equipped with upgraded computers. The library is amazing and you will have a lot of options to study from. Coding clubs are very active on campus. There is a sports complex having infrastructure for each and every sport and the university provides a lot of opportunities to grow in the field of sports.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very basic. You will get amenities like a Bed, study table, chair, and almirah. There are 3, 4 and 5 seater rooms available. AC room is also available but charges are very high. The rooms are spacious and also the cleanliness is all around the hostels. Mess food is good but not very tasty. You can register for a hostel from the CUIMS.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

The admission process is very simple. You must have a score of 60% in class 12th and you can get admission easily. For contacting the admission cell, you can either apply from the CU website or call on the toll-free number provided. Since it's a private college, there are no benefits for reserved categories.

Dislikes

hectic schedules drain the soul of you .
frequent exams test that are totally unnecesary
attendance is another nuisance , having 75 percent is must

A TOUR TO CGC LANDRAN

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon

College Life is Fun, Various activities and events happen in and around college, you got to know about others and crowd is also decent, Mostly Students are from northern regions that is Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand .
Teachers are good and placement coordinators also help students to get good package on campus. a decent package can be bagged by a student if he/she seriously study and obtain a decent CGPA in exam. Make sure you clear all exams till 8th semester.
Infrastructure Is also good, laboratories are fitted with new desktops and campus size is also decent, Tuck shops and various Canteens are available inside the campus. Also Central Library is there inside the campus where students can study in exam t

Dislikes

The curriculum for 1st and 2nd semester is purely based on subjects that you studied in 11th and 12th, the advance versions of those topics are there in 1st and 2nd semester which make it difficult for students to get good grades.
The placement in other branches like Mechanical, electrical is mere, and one can face difficult in getting on campus placement if he/she belongs to these streams. Also Lack of practical knowledge is there in these streams, Theory is more focused.
If one opt for hostels, then the hostel facilities are not as good as it should be , the mess food is pathetic and one can face difficulty if he/she opt for hostel, also campartively hostel fees are also very high, whereas nearby Pg's are cheaper

Placement Experience:

placement is good in our college. Aveage package is 400000, and average package for cse stream is approx 500000. Various companies like alstom, infosys, accenture, TCS, Wipro, amazon, Walmart, JP Morgan chase and co. etc visit campus every year and recruit students. Approx 300+ companies visit campus and above 80% of cse students are placed but In other streams like ECE.EE and ME etc placements are campartively lower and students face difficulty in order to get placed. MY plan is job oriented i also want to get placed on campus and hope so i will get placed in a good company.
