Remarks

Good faculty team and enriched library. The study experience was good but It is lacking space for sports and workshop. The labs lack some equipment and management

Entrance Preview

I came here through Punjab counseling, but was allotted on the basis of my JEE MAINS 2016 Rank which is 50,538(GEN). Then I was interviewed , and selected for admission. I wanted to study about the mechanism of real thing happening in our daily life. The study of this department (Mechanical Engineering) makes me feel like more realistic.

Course Curriculum Overview

It was very interesting as expected,and with each chapter,it taught the practical aspects.Our syllabus is revised according to latest technology. The old topics which are not used in present day, have been removed from the syllabus, this is best part of my branch (Mechanical Engineering) and it should be like this.

Internships Opportunities

No, till now college has not provided any internship. But it is expected that after few months, college will organised the same . Although college has organised its own training in 2nd and 4th semester

Placement Experience

Since I am currently studying in the college so I can't give you the details about placement scenario, but I can tell you about percentage campus placement viz. Approx 50-60% . The major companies were Amazon,TATA, Infosys.

College Events

Hackethon 2017 had its center in my college. There is always organization of fresher party and fusion cultural fest each year. Yes the college authorities contributed fully

Fee Structure And Facilities

50680 per sem and further increase of 10% every year. I had to take loan for this. This is quite high amount. 2nd year sem fee was 55748. For 4 years the total amount payable is 4,70,000 approx.

Fees and Financial Aid

It is providing scholarship only for SC and ST students.

Campus Life

Yes , college organises extracurricular activities like Mock campus placement, Aptitude test, essay competition, calligraphic competition. Yes I have participated in Aptitude and mock campus placement and qualified upto 2nd round.

Hostel Facilities

No, the rooms were not single, they were on sharing i.e 4 students per room. The fee was 30,000 per semester. The quality of food was not good.It was just up to mark.

Exam Structure

Yes they were very tiring as during internal exams there was no gap in between two exams, and unfortunately I have got 2 internal exams. Final exams are sometimes relief provider as there are gaps between exam and it continues for 1 month for exam of 5 subjects.

Best part of my college is highly qualified faculty team. They are very helpful in every aspects. They don't teach bookish language. They first explain the topic and then make us write. They emphasis more on practical aspects. They teach us through presentations and videos.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

I like the machines that's why I choose the mechanical branch in engineering line. Noida , Gurgoan , Chandigarh , Bengluru and many other areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods.

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Good but jot enough

The admission process was quite easy , I had to visit the college with my 10-12 DMC and some personal identity verification photostat and 7 pictures of mine and the advance after they admit in their college was 10,000 and later when the session begin they took a clear fee of 45000 approx. The reservation benefits were not that much but the seats were ofcourse booked by the students before as they paid before for it. There is nothing like an extrance exam but is a scholarship test conducted on-line for locals to get some ressieson mentioned above. It is a noce easy experience tho....Read More
