Remarks

There is sufficient amount of departments and lecture halls.The faculties here are very much helpful.There is even E-Library in my college.

I didn't write any entrance exam but from this year NEET exam is there to join this college.O got through counseling.No,but physical checkup was followed.It's my ambition.

The course I chose is very good.I am very much focused on practical learning.Yes,research on cytogenetics is going to be initiated.

The college provide internship. I am still student. But the experience is good as I see my seniors are in internship.The average stipend is 12000 rupees.

We don't have any placement as it is a medical college. We have to write the competitive exam to get placement.Some prefer writing entrance exams for post graduation.

We conduct many educational, cultural and sports events which are organised in our campus.They are well organised and college authorities help in conducting the events.

It's very cheap and affordable as it is a government college.For each year it may vary from five thousand to seven thousand rupees.

Government provide various scholarships. The college help in getting scholarship and loan. I get state government scholarship.

Yes I am residing in hostel. For each room maximum 3 students can reside.They have Post graduates.I don't know about payment. Food is good.

I have well interaction with my alumni. The college doesn't provide any platform for interaction. Alumni help in the overall development of the college as well as the students.

No the exams are not very frequent. It was a chill culture.

Tagore Medical College from my POV

Likes

The college has a very dedicated set of faculties who are very supportive. The faculties are easy to approach and very friendly. Every faculty is well experienced in their subject.
The college not only focuses on our academic development but extracurricular activities. There is a huge cricket ground in campus where we can play sports. There is also a college band.
The library is open till 8 pm. The library has prep ladder tablets which students could make use of.

Dislikes

The infrastructure could be a little more developed

Our curriculum is CBME based curriculum. It is more clinically oriented. We get to answer questions only after diagnosing the clinical case based questions. It focuses more on practical knowledge rather than just focusing on the theory part. It makes us ready to handle patients.

Many extracurricular clubs are there like Im in the fashion parade one.
Air conditioning facilities is avalaible jn almost all lecture halls
College is near to the metro and electric train stations making it easy for travels

Dislikes

Continous tests makes us uninterested in the subject.
Monotonous way of talking inevitably leading to us sleeping in class
Boys and girls cum activities are less leading to less interactions

Course Curriculum Overview:

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. This not something impossible with patience and intrest it's easy to learn. Every month we will be having internals for each subject. It would be hectic but fruitful. Don't always street about academics there are lot of beautiful things to gaze at also.

Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
