Course Curriculum Overview
The MBA program in finance at Chandigarh University Covers all the major topics in finace. The faculty is very experienced ang highly educated they even uses different modern teaching methods so students can learn in more practical way. The exams are conducted in semester pattern but still we have to appear in midterms.
Internships Opportunities
Chandigarh University has a tie-up with different companies to provide internships to students. These are the companies that provide stipends for the internship: TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Amazon, Google, and Microsoft. The roles offered are Data Scientist, Finance analyst, and Human Resource Manager. However, there are projects students may work on Conducting data analysis, Preparing Finance reports and Managing Human resource reports.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee for the MBA program in Finance is 5 lakhs for 2 years, which is relatively affordable as compared to other private colleges as of the same status additionally Chandigarh University provides a number of Scholarship programs and financial aids to help students financially. I also received the Chandigarh University Merit Scholarship which covers a major portion of my tuition fees.
Campus Life
Chandigarh University hosts two annual fests: CU Fest (Cultural fest) in February month and Tech Invent (Tech fest) in the month of march. The library has a large collection of books, journals and electronic resources. Classrooms are well equipped with modern amenities. Our college provides great sports and extracurricular activities and also organizes a number of sports fests and sports events. CU Beats is a music club, CU Codes is a coding society and CU Film produces films and documentaries, all the mentioned clubs and societies are run by students.
Admission
For admission to this course, I had to apply to appear in GMAT Exam and after the recommendation letter, I had to appear in an online aptitude test. Since the cut-off was so high I am very glad to get addmission to in MBA in finance. The application form can be easily found at Chandigarh University. The fee for the form is 1000 Rs. and application dates mostly appear in the month of June. I did not avail of Reservation benefits. Although the admission process is simple but still a long process so I hope in the coming year admission process become more smooth and shorter.
