This college is a tertiary health centre. This college is one of the emerging medical colleges in tamilnadu.My overall experience is great.

Entrance Preview

I didn't write any entrance exam. I got admission through medical counselling conducted by our state government.We had physical examination during the time of admission. It is my ambition.

The course I chose is very good. I am very much focussed on my practical learning. Yes,in this college research on cyto genetics is going to start soon.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provide internship. I have not experienced but I see my seniors who are doing internship which is good. Average stipend is about ₹15,000.

We have to write Medical Recruitment Board exam for the placement in a government medical college. The average package ranges about 50000 rupees.

Our college conduct many CME programs,cultural program (Synapse) and sports event in the campus. For these events many medical colleges come and participate. The college authorities contribute for these events.

Fees is very less as it is a government college. Yearly the fees is about 5000-10000 rupees. It varies for each academic year.

The government(both central and state)provide scholarship for eligible candidates.The college helps in getting educational loan. I avail state government scholarship.

Yes,I am residing in hostel.Hostel rooms here are shared by three members for a room.Yes they have Post graduates.For a month it may range from 3000 to 4000 rupees.Food is good as it is a student mess.

I am in contact with my alumni very well. I don't think college provide a platform for student-alumni interaction. Yes alumni contribute in development of college.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs don't make me tired at the end of the day because they are not frequent.Yes it is a chill culture.

For my medical field i feel some subjects are unnecessary in my view point like the community medicines. I feel anatomy weightage should be more compared to buochemistrand physiology. I would like them to improve the chapters and remove chalters that are unnecessary so that we medical students can concentrate on whats inportant rather than studying everything and stuffing our brain.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was very passionate about entering the medical field quite early in my life, so I knew what I had to do when I was in school. Medical field is a very challenging area to choose and the work life balance is not as good as other professions. However, it is very engaging and interesting for people who are actually interested in the subject. However, one cannot practice medicine after finishing MBBS because of the increasing competition, so he has to do PG course in order to be more approachable for the patients as well as to serve better in the specific field. The course curriculum is start in a well planned manner and the portions are completed ahead of time so that students have around 1 to 1.5 months of study break before the university exams every year. So, along with the exams that take place throughout the year, students will also have ample time to prepare for their exams in their own way preferred.

This course is well known for its complexity. It's so hard to understand in the first go. We will start to realise that 12th was just an ABCD. Remarks:

The medical college and hospital is at Mundiyampakkam village, Villupuram District. Being located at a village, the medical college focuses on maintaining good health of rural people. There are 1100 beds which are used by patients. 650 beds are used for teaching and 450 beds are used for other medical purposes. Being close to nature, the college is surrounded by greenery. One can get fresh air and healthy environment easily. However, the city is a little bit far away.
