Remarks

college has an excellent faculty best known for it. college has a good infrastructure. extracurricular activities are not supported a lot here . experience is good ,going on well as the atmosphere is good over there good number of friends .

Entrance Preview

i got a seat here through COMED-K examination here ,i wanted to join this college as it is one of the top most engineering college in mangalore ,there was no interview process as i got a government seat ,i had only a verification process of my certificates to be done during the admission day.i have chosen electrical and electronics engineering as my course which is the toughest among all the courses ,i took it as a challenge to finish it off as i have interest in this course

Course Curriculum Overview

5

course is going on good as i have still not entered the branch i have chosen. they focus a lot on academics and tries to improvise the students in terms of academics ,there was practical learning for us in the first semester they help us in all these as it is a part of our studies ,they have undertaken research initiative s in various fields also.mechanical, electronics and communication, electrical and electronics ,computer science engineering are the other options here.

Internships Opportunities

they do not provide internship facilities ,students who wish to do so have to directly attend a company for providence of internship and experience for a decent price .

Placement Experience

4

we have a fair placement facility or department here students get placed about 75% of them were placed this year some of the companies are hewlett packard,JSW,indian navy etcthe averahe package is about 5 lakhs to 8 lakhs

College Events

3.5

there are some events conduced in our college like freshers day and college day .they focus the students to on academics and limits enjoyment to a certain level

Fee Structure And Facilities

i have paid about 125000 INR as my fees as i have come through COMED-K ,i have excluded the examination fees and the vtu fees which has to be at at the near occurrence of the examination ,its very much when compared to CET FEES and a but only a little less when compared to the management fees which is about 150000 INR.

Fees and Financial Aid

college provides scholarship for the needy and deserving students.they provide the necessary documents to the students for availing of the loan from the bank

Campus Life

4

there not a lot of extracurriculars as the college is very strict and focuses more on the course students wishing to join competitions is supposed to do it outside the college.

Hostel Facilities

4

i do not know about the hostel as i am a day scholar

Alumni/Alumna

there has not been any alumni students interaction till now in our college.

Exam Structure

they conduct a series of examination which i very hectic and tiring as the examination have some conditions ,poor scorers have to stay back and attend the classes or remedials.

Faculty

5

we have the best of the best staff here ,a college has very much experienced lecturers and leave no part of the academics incomplete ,its the oldest and most experienced engineering college in mangalore having vast qualified faculty .they are very interactive with the students and help them to excel.the teaching here is up to the mark and very much suffiecient for any student to come up in academics.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum is a mix of both Computer Science and AIML which is increasingly relevant in today's world. Second year: Subjects like Mathematics for AIML, Data Structures, Stats for Data Science, Computer Networks, Third year: DBMS, ANN, ML operations Some other elevtives are also available and courses like Universal Human Values, POME, EIPR etc. Honestly, POME, EIPR, UHV should have less course credits and probably MCQ type exams (like IC and Yoga in first year). Curriculum is good and updating for applications helped along with projects. Exams are generally once in a month, 1.5 - 2 units for each subject each exam. Lab exams at the very end before CIE marks finalization. Then 2 weeks gap for Lab SEE, then 1 week gap and actual SEE's.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Personally, I was interested in ECE course since I liked working around chips and was intrigued by how they worked, which is what led me to choosing this course. The curriculum is not the best for real-world applications since the syllabus is pretty outdated. The teaching does involve smart boards and can be visual as well, but it can be utilized better by the professors. A semester lasts for around 5 months, with the last month only involving SEE (Semester End Examinations) and the first four months consisting of 2 CIE tests in the 2nd and 4th months. It also involves practical examinations.

Placement Experience:

KSIT has an average placement rate of 70%-85% depending on the branch . CSE,ISE and ECE branches have higher placements while mechanical and civil have fewer opportunities in IT sector . Average package is about 4-6LPA . KSIT attracts many IT based recruitiers with some core companies for non -IT branches . It also provides pre-placement training, coding boot cams, aptitude tests and soft skills development . Alumni network is moderate, but students need off-campus efforts for high paying jobs

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course I adopted since I couldn't do my neet. In 2nd year I thought of taking CSE . I GOT MANY SEATS IN OTHER COLLEGES FOR OTHER COURCES. But I wanted to adopt only CSE based . I mean social or economical or design thinking and scientific foundation.. these courses are of no use while learning engineering so this might be the drawback . Exams are conducted very strictly in our clg and I appreciate that !
