What Students Say
Likes
- I like my campus it's kind of big and the evening life at the campus because the evening life is happening.
- I liked my university sports ground or sports complex.
- I liked the library there you can easily make friends and interact with people
Dislikes
- Hectic schedule or busy time table. There are always rush during break.
- Lecture classes. All the lab classes are on ground floor or 1st or 2nd floor but my theory classes are on 7th floor and I hate it.
- Security guards. There are lot more security guards than one can imagine. Sometime they're just going to disturb you for no reason. And during morning classes I just don't like them
Course Curriculum Overview
-> I choose this course because I knew someone from this college and he got starting salary of around 12lpa and for me it was a lot of money and when i asked him about the university he particularly described his university in a good way. -> There are lot more students than anyone can expected and same goes for the faculty. If I have to describe it then I'll say there are more than enough faculty for one class. If you need help they are willing to help us. In first semester there are 2 teacher who helped us (group of 5 students) to complete the project. -> If I remeber correctly in my 1st semester there is only professor who teaches us maths and others are assistant professor. And, In my second year every professor is assistant professor. In my on going 3rd semester there's is only one professor of dsa and everyone is assistant professor. If I have to be more precisley then some of them are good and friendly and some of them are not. -> There are 2 mid semester test(mst) and one pract
Internships Opportunities
-> I haven't done any internship and didn't get any offers. -> I worked on the IoT based smart energy meter on my first year and wrote a review paper. In that project I was tring to calculate the electric uints and then directly send it to the server and there it calculates the amount and then send it back to the user. Basically we're trying to replace the job a man who's coming to our houese to read the electric meter.
Placement Experience
-> I think it's the start of 5th semester a student is eligible for the internship and at the end of 6th sem a student is eligible for the on campus placement. -> Last year I saw banner of companies like ACCENTURE, TCS, WIPRO, DELOITTE, IBM, PHILIPS etc. -> I saw the hoarding of 54 lpa and they're claiming that it's a higest package of this year and maybe it's true but the average package offered on campus is around 5 lpa. -> Let's say if there are 8000 students from B.E in CSE then average number of students getting placed is around 1000. -> I wanted to get a decent job and save some money for the further study. I wanted to pursue PHD.
Fees and Financial Aid
-> If you are thinking of getting admission here then I'll say it's going to cost around 12 lac to 15 lac for four years. -> If you enroll on the course with certain fees they're not going to increase it for the next 4 years. -> If you score below 7.5 cgpa in your first year then you're going to loose your scholarship
Campus Life
-> In my first year I've experinced freshers party, cu fest, night gala, celebreties coming in camupus, EDM nights. There are also acitvities like poem or literature competition, modeling etc. -> I used library few times in my 1st year and books related to your course are available and if you want a book which is not available on the library then you can suggest it on the feedback form which is provided by librarians -> If you want to pursue your career in sports there are some of events where you can participate and if you perform well then you are allowed to pursue that sports. -> There are lots of group going on like coding group, science group, Earth group, IEEE group, Organiser group, etc.
Admission
-> There was an entrance test which is called CUCET. I did take this test and if you score good marks in this test then you'll get scholarship on course fees accordingly but if your 12th percentage is greater than 90 % then you'll get scholarship of 50% on your course fees, it means you have to pay 10600 per year for this course. -> There is a criteria or elgibility criteria to enroll on this course and that is minimum percentage required in the 12th class is 70% and if your marks is more than or equal to 70 percent then you are eligible for this course and by chance if scored less than 70% then you'll have to take to B.E in information technology. -> The application form is available on the official site of the chandigarh university. -> The admission process is going on all the way to december and because of that early batch students have to go through or suffer through during the classes
