Remarks

The infrastructure of SVS is very simple. Not too good and not too bad. But they make sure everything is available. Screen projectors are something they lack and it is always a difficulty to show PPT to someone. But it's been a year almost and things must have changed because SVS improvises very rapidly. Wi-Fi is not available during the year 2016 and I don't think it will be given because smartphones are banned(until the 3rd year). The quality of labs and classrooms were above average. The quality of food in the canteen is good. Hostel rooms are also nice and I guess WiFi is available for them. Even though the hostel is within the campus, it is too far from the city. Not many infrastructure issues were faced. The only issue is the college buses. All the games facilities are available but they won't allow you to play. They always make you sit and study.

Entrance Preview

In entered this college by gaining a seat through caste category. In eamcet I secured good marks and got a rank which is eligible for my caste reservation. In this way I landed in this college. There was no interview I attended. But there is two rounds of counseling. The course I took was mechanical engineering. I love this course. I took this course with my own interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The mechanical department in out college was really fantastic. But there is a small drawback. That is the efforts kept by faculty on practical learning is not so appreciable. It is OK but still need to be improved. Yes research initiatives are regularly taken by the institute. Recently a research based on solar power development is done in our college.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provides internship. Our college has a special department to give sufficient guidance about internships. They motivate us a lot. This experience was really amazing. I hope it is surely useful for every one in future. The average stipend amount is about 12000 per month.

Placement Experience

4

The placements get better every year(or a small downfall in the case of industry downfall). I myself got an offer of 12 lakhs(CTC + stock options) from my college campus placements. A few students(approximately 5%) that are really talented in their fields get placed as Software Developers and Software Testers in big companies like Amazon, Quikr, Voonik, CommVault, Kony etc for offers ranging from 10-16 lakhs. Other students end up in service companies like TCS etc as Software Trainees and even support roles but almost everyone is given multiple opportunities till they get placed. You will face a lot of restrictions to attend placements if you are already placed or if you are planning on higher education. A few(approx 15%) get placed in decent companies like CDK Global, ADP etc with decent packages (4-5 lakhs). The college boasts a lot more than it gets but the situation is not so bad for CSE and IT students and pretty much ECE students. The other branch students rarely get core companies in the campus, so they usually settle for service roles.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes the fee was affordable for me in our college. Not only for me it is affordable for maximum percent of students. Coming in detail our college fee is 55000.Bus fee is 10000 and jntu fee is 5000.Apart from these I'll get some consideration in my fee due to some recommendations. So it is affordable. This is about fee structure of our college.

Faculty

4

There are ups and downs with the faculty members. We find amazingly talented and enthusiastic faculty members in a few semesters for a few courses, and then there are boring and clueless faculty members that come in the way. There are faculty members that can help you out with pretty much everything if you are willing to reach out for them, else it is just a very difficult journey to go through. It is growing better with my juniors since many courses relating to the current software trends are being added and the unnecessary courses from the previous JNTU syllabus are being removed. It is going to be a little on the rush but that is good for making the students ready for the industry.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
