Remarks

College management is highly educated, some are scientists, some national level scholars and more but as university is government body so they take less care about students as they work in bounded/limit environment for permissions you have to wait in long q

Entrance Preview

JEE, my score was not good atleast not enough to get a seat in main campus but i do well in my boards, not only well it was huge i was state topper and get 99.99 percentile in boards through which i get 50k rank in JEE and get this seat.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure basically focuses on teaching engineering. (i mean to say rather than to periodically updates the curriculum with advanced or new technologies they are teaching basics) which is very important to set up a base also our faculty is highly research oriented so if someone wants to enter research field you are at right door.

Internships Opportunities

No, there is no stipend criteria in campus but student are so active that they easily get internships from other places and good stipend too if they have skills.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements are good, in other words damm good, pay scale is not so high that is 3-4.5 lakh but number of students having job in their hand is relatively high in comparison with other colleges in punjab or this region. Many companies visit main campus each year having lots of jobs in their hands, if you possess necessary engineering. Skills you will definitely get the job to get job is not difficult for a gnduian the difficult is to get the job in dream companies.

College Events

4

Gndu main campus is a main university campus which provides affiliation to hundreds of colleges in punjab so there are inter-dept, inter-colleges, even inter-universities competitions of all kind like sports, cultural etc etc. There is an annual fest named jashan celebrated every year in the campus which is a inter-dept competition, and i am proud that our computer engg dept actively participate in it and won many times.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is not so like a govt institutes actually does and not so high like private institutes doing with your pocket, it is genuine, genuine enough to provide basic needs and maintain the balance sheet up to the mark of the institute for a poor person obviously it's not feasible but you will definitely get some king of aid in the university, for level up i.e from middle class it is feasible to send their tiny tots in this university.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are lots of scholarships provided by the gndu scholarships are based on both reserved as well as deserved criteria. If you are good in studies as well as economically weak forget to pay a single penny i guess (good decision of university management) there are scholarships for genuine candidates too.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is awesome, if you are kind of nerd like me (i was a biggest nerd on this planet earth before getting enrolled in this university) but the friends you will make here, the lessons the life will teach you here will be out of the box, you feel yourself becomes mature and at the same time you will feel awesome when you will laugh over shitty jokes of your fellows overnight.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is weak atleast of my department i never interact with passed out alumni except once when they arrived for some event but this is not enough seniors they are simple faces like my batch nothing special.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is average designed having both pros and cons like pros are there are 2 minors, 1 quiz and 1 major in a semester. 2 minors 20 marks each, quiz 10 marks and majors 50 marks total is 100 its pros are no burden of studies at all i am repeating

Faculty

4

Most of the teachers are phd and have an experience in years exactly same as of my age they know what to research but they don't care how to teach actually for me it's good atleast they are not feeding us with a spoon like a baby. One thing is really appr

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
