Ample of opportunities for placement opportunities
Has great infrastructure for academics as well as sports
Variety of students from different states and from different countries.

Dislikes

Pressure of exams is very high as exams are conducted very frequently
Lot of assignments,worksheets, test and labs are there due to which not get enough time for extra activities
Due to high number of students ,somome may face difficulties in learning some sport or skill like music dancing as there are so much competition.

Course Curriculum Overview

This is a 4-year course. I chose this course since the CSE branch has a bunch of opportunities and many fields to learn and explore. The university has a good student-to-teacher ratio. Although students are in high numbers, the teachers are there accordingly. All the teachers have at least a master's and many have a Ph.D. degree. There are 2 mid-semester theory exams,1 mid-semester practical exam, 1 end semester practical exam, and 1 end semester theory exam.

Internships Opportunities

Many internship opportunities are available. Companies like Delloite, Accenture, Nokia, and Samsung gave for Software Development roles. Many other companies gave internship opportunities for other job roles like Network marketing, Cloud computing, Data science, etc.

Placement Experience

There are ample opportunities for placement here. Students can do internships from 2nd from and from 3rd years companies started coming for placements. Although there are high no. of students, not everyone gets the job so the percentage of placements is not very high. It is around 70-80% actually. I am also planning to do internships and get a job on campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

According to other private colleges, the fees are pretty decent. Some may see it as high fees, but there are scholarships also(up to 100%). According to the CUCET entrance exam. Since there are a huge number of students, the competition among students is also high for placements. But if someone studies well and works on the skills he/she can grab a great package as well.

Campus Life

Many fests, hackathons, and club activities are happening on campus regularly. There is a library in each block on campus and a central library also there. So nobody will face this issue. You can borrow books very easily. There are also sports activities happening within the campus and anyone can participate. There is a group opened by seniors called CU Information where updates regarding hackathons, exams, and everything are notified.

Hostel Facilities

I have a 5 seater room. The room size is pretty good and everyone has great space in the room. There are cupboards for everyone and 1 table and 1 chair also. 1 balcony is also there which is pretty large and 1 cooler vent is also there with 2 fans. Hostel registration is to be done online mode through the university site only. The mess food here is good and you will not face any issue with food quality.

Hostel Fee: INR 106800 per year

Admission

CU has an entrance exam called CUCET. Its eligibility is that you have at least 60% in class 12th. Then I filled out the application form from the university's site whose form fee is Rs 1000 All the information related to fees, forms, and placements is available on the site only. Then I scheduled the exam date and gave the exam in online mode. The result came within 4 hours. There is no reservation I availed but grabbed a scholarship of 30% according to my score.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
