Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose this course because I am interested in web development and coding. The student-faculty ratio is 18:1. The vast majority of professors use a moderate teaching style and hold PhDs. There are three exams at Chandigarh University. The first exam is called MST-1, and it is given after unit 1 is finished. Then, MST-2, which is given after unit 2 is finished, is given, and finally, end-of-term exams are given. Both the mst 1 and mst 2 are 20 marks, and the end-of-term exams are 60 marks. The exams have a moderate difficulty level, and passing them is quite simple.

Internships Opportunities

5

Goldman Sachs has currently extended an internship offer to me. I believe you do not know much about web development; for beginners, a few simple projects should be sufficient. A 60k–70k stipend may be offered for an internship, depending on the company.

Placement Experience

4.5

From the 6th semester onwards, students are eligible for campus placements. There are many companies that are visited on campus like DeltaX, Goldman Sachs , Microsoft, etc.The highest package at Chandigarh University is 50 LPA and the advance package is 10–12 LPA. A minimum of 7 CGPA is a must for getting placed in good companies. I want to do job after completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees at Chandigarh University are 126k per semester, and if you opt for specialization, your fees are 145k. They give scholarships on the basis of their CET exam. I got an internship on campus with a stipend of 25,000 per month.

Campus Life

4

Every month, Chandigarh University hosts monthly tech events and annual fests, such as hackathons and techathons. Every type of book is available in the library. Chandigarh University has numerous libraries that offer a wide variety of books. Classroom infrastructure is very nice, and a wide variety of sports are conducted at Chandigarh University on campus. Sports events are conducted.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels have four-seater rooms in which one almirah, one study table, and one bed will be provided. You have to take the mattress on your own. Meals are also good, and they provide milk two to three times a week and paneer and chicken two times a week. The registration process is done on the official site of Chandigarh University, i.e., uims.cuchd.in. Kharar is the nearest locality from where you take PG and flats. For falts, Omega City ad GBP and Aura Avenue are the best.

Admission

The Chandigarh University admissions process runs from July to August. Registration has been completed first, and the registration fee is Rs. 5,000. If you don't take admission at Chandigarh University, registration fees cannot be refunded. There are no eligibility criteria at Chandigarh University. You can find the application form on the official site of Chandigarh University, www.cuchd.in. Scholarship are available at chandiarh university Once an entrance exam is conducted, on the basis of that exam, they will give scholarships. No, I do not believe there is any room for improvement; everything is fine.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
