Reality of Chandigarh University

This world is moving towards more techonogies of AI and IOT. Which is creating more job opportunities and interesting,that is why I chose this course. A mentor is provided to a class of 30 students and 2 for above 50 whom you could discus your problems related to your studies and academics. Faculties are at least having their masters degree and many have done Phd too. They teach on the basis of course structure provided by the university to them we can say that the teachers are just average except few of them. Two mid sem exams , 1 practical mid sem and 1end sem practical+ theory. In this way you have not getting any time more than 5 days to be free some kind of exams will be there for you.You can easily pass the exam reading the material provided by the university.

Internship offers are not mainly given by the college or may be I am not aware of that . You yourself have to apply for internship and show your projects to them . University provide courses regarding that. Like if you have made a project using web development university have that facility also where you can show then and they will help you in further proceedings which you need.

From 6th semester students are given workshops related to the placements and they are eligible for placements . According to a seminar we have taken few months ago they told over 900 companies visited which included Amazon, Google etc. Recently a third year student got 53 lakhs per annum package and average package as told by teachers is above 800000 perannum. I cannot say how much students get placements but as number of companies coming is more so there is opportunity to get palced easily. I want a decent package job after completing my degree.

Fees is 120000 per semester and you can get scholarship if you have good percentage in class 12 ; like if you have more than 90% in class 12 you directly get 50% scholarship. Otherwise you have to give entrance test on the basis of that score you will get the scholarship. You can easily get scholarship so don't loose that chance . I got 50% scholarship on the basis of entrance test I have given and the scholarship name is CUCET.I was fully guided by my admission process mentor . And currently I am a full time student.

There are many fests going on inside the campus. Techfest like hackathons are very common like they happen at least once in a month. Freshers party was on 21 of november for new students . The library facility is there one is the central library where student of any stream can come and another is in their block in which the students of that stream only can go. Classrooms for engineering are fully ventilated and have sufficient fans and lights but AC's are not installed. Many sports events are conducted like interbranch volleyball competition which I was a part of. A website is there made by the students to tell their problem related to studies which our seniors will solve further and many groups are formed for co curricular activities in the college.

I live in 4 seater hostel the room in not that spacious . A table and an almirah is provided to you including the bed . Food quality is good but the taste is no so good , in a week at least we have to take 5 to 6 meals outside . The registration you can do from the site which will be provided by registration mentors and rooms are easily available.

The eligibility was that you should pass class 12 and on the basis of your percentage scholarship is there for example if you have more than 90% in your intermediate the you will get 50% scholarship and if your intermediate percentage is above 80% you will get 20% scholarship. I found the apllication form on the official site of university which is cucet.cuchd.in where I applied for an entrance test, the application fees was 1000 rupees.Talking about the dates registration started in 2 phases I apllied in the month of may 2023 and got my test date 1 week later . I cannot say it as reservation but I got 50% scholarship from the cucet exam which reduced my fees burden. Admission process was quiet easy but the details entered on my profile was wrong and I have to go for that to the officails.
