Dislikes
- The schedule is too hectic specially for a first year student . About 4-5 assignments per week like worksheet and practicals incluing viva and the end sem projects .
- Faculty is fine but some are just unbearable . You hardle find any of their class haelpfull and the will give less marks to you even if you are a good student
- Ther is a very bad rule of keeping your attendance above 90 percent will reward you 2 marks for subjects
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose the computer science course due to to my childhood passion. The faculity mostly with master,s and Phd qualifacation , is diverse . Exams are challanging but manageable. you to start your preparation 1 month before exams. Maintaining a 7.5 CGPA is crucial for the schlorship , averaged over the year.
Internships Opportunities
At Chandigarh Univesrsity , Intership opportunities are available to a limited numbers only . Some companies visits to hire intern but the student shoud be in like top 10 percent of the students to grab one .
Placement Experience
The collage provides you opportunity , it depends on the student if he or she able to achieve their goal . Eligible for campus placement from 3rd year . Big tech companies like IBM visits , but recession impacts placement and pacages . Planning to explore startip opportunities post-degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
As a first year student . the fees are resonable , and I appreciate the yearly hike transparancy although yearly hikes can be challanging. securing the schlorship (CUCET schlorship) I recieved significantly helps with finatial aspects , making my acadmics journey more accessible.
Campus Life
Chandigarh university's campus life is vibrant . Annual fest and cultural fests, entich social interactions . While the library , mordern classrooms and diverse clubs enrich the student experience . But the workload of assignment and projects can make your schudle a lot hectic , most of the students are not able to attend anty fests due to academics .
Admission
Admission to Chandigarh University was through the CUCET (Chandigarh University Common Enterence Test), an online exam with a maximum score of 100, The subjects like Physics , Mathematics , Computer science and English varied based on the course . I needed a minium score of 30 for admission and scoring above that also earned a scholarship. I secured 68 out of 100 ,earning a 30% schlorship.The application on the university was straightforwad . I paid a initial ammount of 1000 rupees to give the exam . While my experience was positive , clearer communication about schlorship details post-admission could be improved.
