Course Curriculum Overview
I have taken CSE with specialization in Artificial intelligence and machine learning in collaboration with IBM. Faculty quality is good. Most of the faculties I found were good enough and qualified for our branch. And for every semester there will be 2 mid exams namely MST's and end sem theory examinations.
Internships Opportunities
Main focus of University will be on making students to work on projects and research article to make students publish research articles in reputed publication houses like IEEE conferences and this process will be going on every semester
Fees and Financial Aid
I think every year fees hike is around 5-10% for new batches. As I am studying with scholarship provided by CU only which is 50%, I found CU as reasonable and affordable University to study considering the infrastructure and environment here
Campus Life
In Chandigarh University there will be many fest and tech fests will be going on throughout the year and one can indulge in any of these events if they are interested as University provides 10 duty leaves per subject per semester which is a very good encouragement. There are huge collection of books and journals in the library in Chandigarh University. There are many social groups and clubs run by students like dravida club, rotoract club.
Hostel Facilities
For the first year I opted to stay in hostel of Chandigarh University only . Food and hygiene in hostel is more than expected and one can enjoy hostel Life without any much of the trouble. After that I have moved to a flat near Chandigarh University where the rent starts from 15k for 2bhk and goes all the way till 35-40k for 3bhk
Admission
To get admission I have given CUCAT exam conducted by Chandigarh University and scored 85 out of 100. So they have given me 50% scholarship. Generally the application can be found in University website itself and applications for admission starts from January itself until September or October
