- Students helping department - D S.W. any query can be solved there no need to go everywhere
- Libraries - every block has their own libraries which is good as there is no crowding
- Campus architecture and sorrounding.in evening time thee are good place to sit and relax
Dislikes
- Academic pressure. As in every month there is exam . In first year you will think you are in school
- Sports ground is outside of campus means we have to walk a distance.
- Some teachers are just reading and teaching this is not good but there' is option if everyone complain then teacher can be removed
Course Curriculum Overview
My jee percentile was not so good . But desire is to take computer science but unfortunately I didn't get in any NITs . Then I have to move for private college so I decided which will offer me less fees and will have good curriculum I will choose that. Because my family financial background is not good. So I choose CU . Some Faculty members are good but not all are. Some teaches like school teacher,just reading. In each month we have to give MST. Then lastly end sem. Academic is very strict,to save scholarship we have to study. But syallabus is not too hectic means one can easily get good marks
Internships Opportunities
See I am in first year so I didn't get internship right now. But I heard from seniors that oncampus internship are available. If one had good skills they can easily grab offer and basic stipend lies between 10000-25000.
Placement Experience
From 6th or 7th semester students become eligible for campus placement. Many companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Infosys,TCS are coming in campus. And many offers are made by them some includes beyond 20 lakh . Highest package this year is 59.9 lakh but u don't know company name and average package is 6-7 lakh by TCS and Wipro. All students do not sit for placement but those who sits most of them are get placed .
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees is average little less than other private college 150000 per year. But cucet provides upto 50 percent scholarship so there is reduction in this amount and on an average every one secures atleast 20 percent scholarship. Fees is same all through the course of particular batch.
Campus Life
As name suggests Chandigarh, one can imagine about fest. In every week something is going on campus. Even in first semester I had participated in Tashan nites and aagaz . In nutshell if you think about fest you will see college conduct more than that. Libraries are good in every block there is library and one Central library no crowding. South block of University is so beautiful, can't be explained. But where first year classes are happening that is normal building. Just like school classroom. In terms of sports college encourages us too much. Even good sportsman get high percent of scholarship sometimes it goes to 80 percent on basis of merit of sportspersons. There is huge sports ground and almost all types of sports is happening even I also played kabbadi. There is many clubs and societies for extra co curricular activities like terabyte for coding etc.
Admission
My admission was done by a councellor. I have to give online entrance scholarship exam CUCET. Which was filled by my councellor itself. It cost me 500 rupees. After that I have to pick date for cucet and exam is of two hours. Exam can be given by online from home as well as offline.
