Heaven of placement that's what is special about the college. Also there is good aupport from the collage for every initiatives put forward by students. Overall an Ideal college.

Entrance Preview

This college has the best placement records after Nit calicut. With an average salary package over 6lpa from product oriented companies and over 3.5lpa from service oriented companies. The current admission criteria is based on the Keam( Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical) rank, JEE(Joint Entrance Examination) rank, etc.

I choose computer science and past records for computer science are so good. The tech fest of this college Excel is a great opportunity for the students to showcase their practical knowledge. Also there are lot of other opportunities. Excel is the second techfest ever conducted in India. The college is affiliated to KTU(APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University) and follows its syllabus. There are facilities like fab lab to encourage the innovative ideas of students.

Internships Opportunities

College provides help for students to get into well reputed companies for internships. And there was good reviews from the students who attended the internships.

Placement Experience

Best placement record in kerala after Nit Calicut with lots of multinational companies. And good salary packages. Morethan 80% students are placed each year.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is excellent because it contains so many informative ideas and the practical lab is the best. I chose this course to get an idea about the civil engineering field and i m satisfied with it. The faculty members are very supportive and helpful. The student ratio is very low. Faculties at our college are MTech holders and PHD also. There will be two series exams and one university exam in each semester and there are eight semesters in Btech.

MEC EEE REVIEW

I applied to cet, tkm, gec for branches eee and ec My first option was cet for which i couldn't get admission due to my rank. Cet requires rank below 1000. And my second option was mec (my college). I choose this college over gec and tkm because it was in my home town itself and it had better placement opportunities. The college that i applied other than model engineering college is CET trivandrum which is the best college under ktu in kerala . And the second is model engineering college. I would have got admission is any other colleges in kerala . I choose model engineering college because of its placements and academic progress. MEC Thrikkakkara: Strong Academics and Placements, but Room for Infrastructure Growth

My cousin studied here few years back and is now working a top tech company.I applied for Cs in MSRIT and AMRITA,but the fee structure over there is too high(around 3-4 lakh per year).Here overall fee amount is equivalent the yearly fee.To get admission in MEC,a person needs to write keam exam .Three phases of allotment are held in here.At the beginning of all allotment,we could change our preferences.For CSE BATCH,CUTOFF RANK FOR merit is around 2k and Management around 3.5k .For CSBS it's around 3k for Merit and 7-8k for management....Read More
