Remarks

Good college with every single facility and good faculty .College has provided hostel, library, cafeteria, Wi-Fi enabled campus, playground, basketball court, volleyball court. And we also get practical experience.

Entrance Preview

gave JEE MAINS entrance exam. From that I didn't score much. This exam was mandatory for all engineering aspirants. I landed up in the college through the merit list & after that the CAP round process. There was no interview taken. I was interested in it so I opt this course. Afterall aerospace is something much more than interesting.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course I have chosen is very good. I liked it so much. There is about 30% focus on the practical knowledge. The practical sessions are held regularly. But the equipments and accessories aren't properly maintained. I don't know about the research initiatives taken.

Internships Opportunities

No our college doesn't provide any internship for our branch. But due to some of the faculties they provide us requisition letter from college faculties. It's good for us. I haven't done any internship yet. But looking forward to do.

Placement Experience

Placement scenario is overall good but not for everyone. Some get placed in large companies with lots of packages. And somr get placed in small companies with small package and low job profile. Companies are good that visit.

College Events

college celebrates almost every single festival, and special programs for students of various years like outdoor management program for students of first year and many other programs are being celebrated in college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Yes these College is affordable comparatively the other colleges in the university and nearby too. The college fee is fine in our Chandigarh university. . the fee for the open category and for other categories differ accordingly.

Yes college provides scholarship for students belonging to category of obc, so, st and tfws and EBC for open category students

College is good at extracurricular activities because they just don't focus on verbal knowledge they believe in practical knowledge also. Rest is all good. We also get opportunities and facilities by our college.

Hostel Facilities

No I live at my house. There is the hostel provided. The girls hostel is just in the from if the college entrance at the opposite side of road. There are 2 boys hostel. Both are quite a distance apart from the college campus. But It is very costlier. There are rooms on sharing. They don't have PGs.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni came to our college last month they shared there experience and views with us. And motivated us to struggle hard. So it contributes in our development.

Exam Structure

The exams & labs are quite frequently held. And as we travel to the college from far distance. We gets tired little bit at the end of the day taking all of this kind of things.

Faculty

Faculties here are very good & also interactive. They are highly qualified almost all of them. Many faculties make use of different teaching aids for teaching. Some of them are good at interacting with students, whereas some aren't. The standard of teaching is good & well maintained.

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

An honest look at campus

Likes

The university boasts an excellent, massive campus infrastructure with great amenities and highly diverse student crowd provides great cultural exposure
While the engineering batches naturally leans towards more boys (around 1:3 girl to boy ratio)
Availability off dedicated campus mentorship programming and technical club provided a great platform.

Dislikes

The campus administration enforced incredibly strict security and daily restrictions which feel a little overwhelmed
The total no of students in a course like cse is massive. So the competition for the high tier placement is very intense.
If we need any information or some help from the administration they will make it lag and go to that window this window and we will not get the information ww required

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro,cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed.The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Likes

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late

Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
