Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose MBA to further my career and gain professional knowledge. 16 to 1. Quality of faculty varies from teacher to teacher. They are good enough. Teaching method also varies from teacher to teacher. Some use lectures, some use ppts and some using activity. Exams where on time with mic term and end term. The exams are difficult and require good preparation.

Internships Opportunities

3

JP Morgan and arceisam with 50,000. Heal ark with 20,000. Propelled with 5,000. Amul, bhartia axa with 0 stipend. Bajaj fin sev health. Amrut Energy with 5000. Wish tree. Zydus group. Pepsi co. M'Lunia Biocem. DCB Bank ltd. Are the companies that came for summer internship

Placement Experience

3

After 3rd sem placement starts and they last till everyone is placed. Companies like P and G, Infosys, Deloitte, axis, Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Jio and lot of other companies come for placement. They take from 2 to 30 students every year. Highest package 18lpa given by pepsi. 100% of students get placed. My plan is to get placement through college and continue climbing the corporate ladder.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is divided into college fees, student activity fees and hostel fees. The roi of nirma is the best. There is scholarship provided by nirma based on parents income and merit giving 1 lakh rupees as scholarship. Companies come for summer internship , love project and placement and the stipend depends on the company.

Campus Life

4

The annual fest is PR-10. It happens in February. Books and journals are plenty and there is facility of e-library where we can access data bases and features that college gives like quillbot. Even journals and papers can be accessed through it. There are Ac classrooms with projector and Mic. The classes are well belt and are made in a way that everyone can see the professor. There are sports in the college. Sports are managed by sports committee. There are 22 clubs and committees handling different parts of college. A student has to go through interview process to get into these clubs and committees which are taken by 2nd year students. There are intrests clubs like fiesta and chehre which are music, dance and dramatics. There is TCC which handle cultural events and annual fest. Kaizen handles relations with alumnae.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel room takes care of students every need. There are small clever details added in the room. Chair, table, lan connection (wifi for girls), single bed, one wardrobe with extra storage on top of it, side table, mirror, dressing table etc. laundry service is included in fees. Meal is decent better than meals of other mess in other colleges. Menu changes every month with a lot of paneer dishes. Registration process is simple. You have to get two wheeler if any registered at the hostel too.

Admission

Eligibility is 80 percentile. Application form, application fees and application date cam be found on their website. Only NRI seats are for reservation with twice the normal fees. The admission process is smooth.

Interview Experience

4.5

There was an interview which started with extempore and then you have to review your on extempore. Then Interview topics ranged from current news, industry, our CV, interests etc. The process is smooth and simple. The critia for admission is also at least 50% in graduation and school (10 and 12). 80 percentile is required for shortlisting. I prepared using my coachings guidence and YouTube. I also read newspaper daily and research about every aspect of my background. I prepared answers beforehand.

Placement Experience:

The placement season at IIMA starts from December onward. This includes a three to four day marathon placement season that witnesses more than 150 companies visiting the campus. These companies include MNCs such as American Express, Blackrock, Boston Consulting Group, Mastercard, P&G, Nestle Indian conglomerates such as Aditya Birla Group, Tata Group, Mahindra Group, HUL, technology companies such as Amazon, Zomato, Sprinklr. In total ~480 offers are made to candidates in total across laterals as well as finals placement processes. A 100% placement has been a record at IIMA for many years now. While the average package lied somewhere around INR 20 LPA, the maximum was to the tune of INR 75 LPA (and perhaps even more for international locations). I ventured into consulting domain, one of the most revered and sought after clusters post my MBA at IIMA.

Placement Experience:

Placements are very nice, placements are provided once the student completes the final master year I.e. 5th year. After that, the student becomes eligible for placement. Many companies like Tata, Data consulting, reliance, etc. Have visited and got the best of their employees at this place. Most of the time 100% placement is offered.

Remarks:

Information asymmetry can be easily observed between PGDM (DS) and BE students. Many times, important information is asymmetrically distributed in BE and DS students. Many of us were called again and again to join Development Studies track. It also happened that after joining DS course, many students opted to take up BE again. If you are inclined towards social work, join DS, otherwise don’t, you will suffer.
