Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course because I am interested in semiconductor fabrication . The faculty is well experienced with the course what they are teaching . There will be 3 cia test and after that semester .

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 150000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I am not very sure about the internship opportunities . Since I was a second year student . But there are internship opportunities provided. They also have the training and placement team available to train the students and get placed

Placement Experience

From the sixth semester students are eligible for campus placements . Mostly 80 - 90 % of the people will be getting placed . The average package may be nearly 3 - 4 LPA .

Fees and Financial Aid

Initially per sem it will be 75000 and for Every year there will be 10% increment in the fees. For for hostel accommodation in 1st year it will be nearly 16000 without food from 2nd year it depends on the room which you are choosing.For food you have pay monthly

Campus Life

Kuruksastra , colloseum , Daksh are major events that will happen . It will be mostly conducted in even semester . There are so many clubs to join . There are so many books and journals that are available in the library

Hostel Facilities

The hostel rooms are nice . In first year we have to request for hostel accommodation . we cannot choose the hostel in the first year . From second year we can choose the hostel which we want . They will facilitate with cot and study table

Hostel Fee: INR 14000 per year

Admission

Application is purely based on 11th and 12th board and jee marks . The application form can be found in the official website . There is no entrance exam to get admission in the SASTRA . The hostel is available in the main campus only

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options. Academic: sastra provide a great faculty , other diploma to add on which adds great value and research opportunities. I applied for sastra and srm in trichy, i got selected in both the colleges but i choose sastra Over srm. I choose sastra because of it's quality education. No, i did not get rejected for the colleges i applied for.
