Course Curriculum Overview

4

This is a well-organized course that places appropriate emphasis on the principles of architecture as well as on other architecture-related topics outside of design. To gain an overview of the course, we took courses in history, general drawing, conservation, climatology, acoustics, building materials and construction, interior design, and general drawing. The curriculum for the course is going well. Before the semester exam, there are two series tests that everyone of us must take.It is weighted within the internal mark.

Internships Opportunities

3

The campus internship was beneficial for gaining project knowledge and experience alone, but the pay was meager—between 10k and 20k—and would not have encouraged students to complete these internships.

Placement Experience

3.5

Our college's engineering departments offer great placement opportunities. Reputable businesses come to the campus each year to hire students. But it's not like that in our architectural course. In general, we don't have campus placement. Here, we compile our portfolio of completed work and submit individual job and internship applications to companies. Because of the college's reputation and the caliber of our work, we were able to get into reputable firms. It was a requirement of the curriculum that we complete two semesters of 120-day internships at working firms.

Fees and Financial Aid

A reasonable pricing structure with a maximum annual limit of 10,000 rupees. Since CET is a government organization, its price schedule is limited to what is practical. The sole fee that CET collects from students is tuition fee. There aren't any other unstated costs there. Many scholarships are offered to the chosen candidates. The Kerala government's E-grant scholarship aids in students' tuition payments.

Campus Life

4

Many pomp and circumstance technical and cultural festivities are held at our campus. It will also include participation from other colleges. Events include Department nights, CETEX (a technological festival held once every five years), Dhristi, Dhwani (a three-day yearly cultural festival), Disha (a cultural festival for newcomers), Sargam, and others. The college has all the amenities and is rather large. Within the campus are two well-maintained canteens offering clean food options, as well as well-equipped labs. There is a sizable library on campus with all the books needed for research. The campus Wi-Fi is available for all.

Admission

The admission criteria are based on the score of NATA and 10+2 exams. The candidate must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying examination. For SC/ST candidates, the minimum marks required is 45%.

Admission:

Selection to B.Arch programme is based purely on merit. Selection will be done by SSA giving due weightage to the marks obtained in 10+2 examination and the NATA score. Merit is the only criterion for selection.

The College and College hostel won't let them use phones. Even though phones are allowed in hostels as per government rule. The College is a little strict and still treats us like school students. But the College is free in some terms but controlled a lot.
