Campus and the people around , campus is really beautiful and you will gonna enjoy your time here for sure
Food courts are good here as they offer varieties of food item to eat

I don't like the security always asking for id cards and all

Course Curriculum Overview

I was having intrest in computer science and the curriculum matches the industry level not in the first year but after second year you will learn about computer fundamentals ,the database , operating system and networking will gonna be covered in the whole curriculum which is beneficial improvement is needed in teachers they don't know how to teach complex subjects taking about exams their are mst's which are test between semester and their are total two mst and one end sem exam at the end

From 6th semester companies start to come in the campus and companies offer good packages at this time but due to the recession happening right now companies are recruiting limited students but before recession the amount of company was good and every student gets the minimum of one offer so it was good but now its not good as campus is full of computer science students around 800 companies visited this year and recruitment of 1000 taken place highest package was 40 lpa and average package was 6lpa this year only 30 percent got placed I am gonna go for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees increases 10000 by everyear and hostel fees has same thing increases 10k everyear the complete cost of my education was near about 10 lakhs . Scholarship available on test which is taken before admission and some of the financial aid for teachers and army people kids

Campus Life

Annual fest name is cu fest and held in late march . The books are available and will be granted on library card .Their are total of two library card so one student can only take two books at a time for 2 weeks after that their will be fine . Their are computer labs and computers are new and also their is open wifi available for students around the campus. Their is vast option of both sports and extracurricular activities people can people can pick and choose any field they are interested in including music dance and any sports except their Is no swimming pool in the campus . Their are clubs Ieee and every student of this club is placed now so their are benifits of clubs

Hostel Facilities

Hostel outer building is good and the compound is also good but the 4 seater rooms are conjusted ,so it is advised to take 3 seater or 5 seater room it will be an good option Hostel food is good and can be eaten this is the good part that the hostel mess food is good and clean The administration people will guide you to how to apply for hostels . I live in hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 90000 per year

Admission

Eligibility of the Course is above 60 percent and for taking AI ml it should be above 70 percent in 12boards application form will be found on the official website of chandigarh University and all other details .Their are scholarship benifits , scholarship exam will be taken online and according to the marks the the tution fees will be discounted .The levels are easy but you have to accurate and the frequency of exams will depend on the university. You can easily get good marks in scholarship exam

Likes

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Dislikes

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

Inside NITJ- Beyond the Brochure

Likes

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The environment of the college is so nice, helpful staff, AC labs for CS deptt.
Canteen and water facilities and park in both deptts
Skilled professional educators and tutors

Dislikes

Distance of travelling coz for me its too much far
Nothing as of now everything was good enough

Placement Experience:

- Limited campus opportunities were available, and most students become eligible from the final year. - The average package was around 2-5 LPA. - after my degree my plan is to improve my employability my strengthening my technical skill in my domain

From 7th sem students become eligible for campus placements and tata or Infosys companies visited and about 60 to 70 percent students were placed and my plans after getting the degree is to opt for higher studies doing mtech from iit

Good infrastructure, campus and faculty. Have to improve placements and industrial visits.

Likes

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The sports and the various facilities that they provide for relaxing
The Library that remains open till 10-11 at night for those who wish to study till late
Great mentors and very helpful teachers who are always willing to help

Dislikes

The hectic schedule and curriculum that the students have to follow.
The lack of certain facilities that would help the students improve thoer personalities
Too much strictness and restrictions with everything that someone wishes to do

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
