Course Curriculum Overview

Admissions for PG programs are based on scores in qualifying degree programs and written tests. For all other UG arts and science programs, admissions are based on qualifying examination marks. SASTRA University conducts its entrance examination called Sastra University Joint Entrance Exam (SUJEE) for admission to the B. Tech program. GATE qualified students are given preference over non-GATE qualified candidates.

Class Size: 61Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Stream 1 (based on JEE(Mains) score and +2 Marks) for 70% of seats. Stream 2 (based on +2 marks) for 30% of seats. Stream 1 Admission: Applicants under Stream 1 will be admitted to 70% of the seats based on JEE (Mains) scores and normalized +2 marks.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

I don't like the hostel because they gave a common bathroom for us

Placement Experience:

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.

The reason i choose this college because of the really good placements available in it. The different between the college i applied for and sastra will be Reputation: In my surroundings sastra have a great goodwill and Reputation compared to other colleges. Placements: sastra provide wide range of placements and opportunities while other colleges have limited options. Academic: sastra provide a great faculty , other diploma to add on which adds great value and research opportunities. I applied for sastra and srm in trichy, i got selected in both the colleges but i choose sastra Over srm. I choose sastra because of it's quality education. No, i did not get rejected for the colleges i applied for.
