A GREAT COLLEGE WITH BITTERSWEET EXPERIENCE
The College charges for things unnecessarily and has issues regarding stringent attendance.
This College ranks 9th in India for Bachelors of Computer Application and is reputed, this was the first thing that I had in my mind. once I visited the College and the atmosphere I experienced there, at the time of inquiry. Also, they give you opportunities in the Sports sector that is a big thumbs up.
FEE STRUCTURE AND FACILITIES
The fee structure is feasible for the courses they offer, 17000 appx for each semester is a little above par if not feasible and the college charges for some things extra which may be found funny, like parking and assignment papers which is not appreciated by many students.
Placements have been guaranteed to us by St Xavier's College ( Autonomous ) Ahmedabad on the website of the college but students explore the option of studying Masters rather than go for placement in a company. You can also get Campus recruitment as a Librarian.
Hostel facilities are average not too good not to bad one can stay there without any problems as it is under the control if vice principal of the college, plus it’s very affordable to live in the hostel where the charge is around 8000 for 6 months. Mess food is not good my friends have complained many times to me, students don’t like the mess food.
Yes, the seniors are cordial and encouraging when asked for help they are always supportive which is highly satisfying.
The faculties of the college are bittersweet if you are a study geek you’re in full luck because faculties are excellent and their knowledge can’t be doubted. But if you’re someone who wants to enjoy college life do mischief they don’t cut you any slack. Stringent rules and regulations are practiced in the College which some students find difficult to adjust to.
Campus life is great its a big campus surrounded by the plantation. There is no sign of garbage on the campus and it is neat and clean. Gender Ratio in the campus is 60:40 Male to female ratio respectively. Since it’s a Christian college 40% or more of the students in the class are Christian but there are students of all religions and caste in the college.
COURSE CURRICULUM OVERVIEW
The course and curriculum are fit for a student seeking excellence in Programming abilities where each semester a programming language plus a Mathematical subject, elective subject as well as Foundation subject is to be taught ( This information is till 3rd Semester). Other subjects may also be included.
No, our college doesn’t provide internships but they provide opportunities to join various cells such as Women Development and Anti-Ragging.
CULFEST Our college celebrates various events and competitions. Culfest is celebrated as a festival in winters where students of all departments compete in various events such as Dance, Singing, Debate, Poem making, Drama-Act. SPORTSFEST Similar to Culfest students from all departments compete for each other where students who didn’t take any part in external competitions are only selected, there are no separate tournaments for girls or boys, the teams are formed in combination of both genders preaching gender equality.
LOAN/ SCHOLARSHIP PROVISIONS
Our college doesn’t provide any scholarships openly but if you’re not able to pay the fees on some conditions the college may accept to teach you with little or no fees.
