Chill and kill boredom at Somaiya Clg

Likes

The campus,,, Somaiya has best college campus with lot of activities area in it
The Sittings accross the campus is really student friendly
Canteens were supper affordable for students for food accessibility

Dislikes

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

For a person who into music production this is the best course and College but any other music field consider other options. The administration is too poor and are harsh on the students but the teaching faculty is supportive.

Remarks:

The college management has appointed a student council who look after all the needs of the students and is responsible and accountable to manage and follow up different activities, events and functions throughout the year. They are the main link between all the societies working in the college and team members of these societies.

Premier Institue for research and education in India

The reason why I chose TISS was very personal. I was interested in pursuing Human Resource as a discipline, and TISS is simply the best for HR. Its unique curriculum, which goes beyond a typical MBA college, provides a plethora of opportunities. The diversity offered at TISS is amazing. You get to meet so many new people in and across your department. A strong curriculum focusing on experiential learning through fieldwork internships followed by an NGO stint gives a great learning opportunity. TISS has a strong legacy in HR, with one of the best placements in the country with an unmatched ROI. The small batch size helps to build a very strong bonding among batchmates and faculty members which are highly supportive. There is a saying that"TISS is not your typical B school" and it stands true. With its unique pedagogy and diverse culture, it stands tall as an institution that is a pioneer and torchbearer of revolution for social revitalization....Read More
