Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Comparative to the other college in which I did my UG, Loyola College's syllabus is far better and the evaluation process is also hassle-free and not partial. All students are treated equally. Almost all the staff along with the syllabus talks about current events and histories so that we can learn beyond the textbooks. Also, they will be sharing about the various internship opportunities and job opportunities after completing the course.

Internships Opportunities

5

Press Information Bureau offers an internship of one month Vijay TV and Kalaignar TV internships for 15 days Internships in schools for about 15-30 days Internships in content writing fields for 15-30 days

Placement Experience

4.5

After the first year of postgraduation, we have to do internships as a part of the syllabus. After that, we can continue the internships part-time. Every year the placement cell gives training and then those who opt to participate in placements can attend the company interviews and can get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships for minority students are available. For each semester, the semester fee will cost around 9000-10000 Many companies including Accenture, and HCL hire students through placements with a monthly package of about 25000-40000.

Campus Life

5

The college conducts OVATIONS in which students of each department get to exhibit their talents in more than 20 different events. The department fest for each department will be organised in which the students come together and conduct the events which gives them organising and managing skills. Several seminars and International conferences will be organised which benefit students in enormous ways. The library will be open on all days except Sundays and students can take up to 6 books using their ID card at a time. Each class will have an intercom, projector and speaker which enhances the digital learning. Sports are given importance too. Every year sports day will be conducted and students will exhibit their skills. Sports students are selected through sports quota during admissions. We will have outreach in which the students will be taken to villages, we will be experiencing village life, understanding their struggles, needs and we will be working with them, cleaning the places.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The rooms will have charging points and the number of beds based on the share you opt for. The food will be good with non-veg for three days in a week. The hostel application will be available along with the college admission application.

Admission

Eligibility: BA in English Literature with a minimum of 60% marks Application forms are available on the college website and we have to fill it online. The admission is based on the entrance exam followed by an interview. The exam is based on the syllabus that is covered in the Under Graduation course and the interview includes some basic questions and then some subjectwise questions. The selection list will be published a few weeks after the interview and the application process begins with the certificate verification and the payment of the semester fee which is of about Rs. 9000. The admission process won't be messy and people in the office will help you out.

Remarks:

The college has good in the language before some few years back. And still now it’s somhow good in relevance in the studies but sometimes much more pressure and extra works that was not much necessary in the departmental curriculum. One bad things is the college didn’t listen to the students voice and opinions and students were considered as money. Much more pressure and once president said is finalised and no options. There is many stories within the students that cannot reveals but most of all they wait for the graduation.
