Remarks

Well, concluding my words about my college, its like I've lived a dream, I'd never like to wake up from

Entrance Preview

This college was the fastest growing and comparatively better college from all others in that area. Also, the faculty and training staff were good. In addition to this, the infrastructure and hostel were quite good. The meals and transportation facility was also very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The courses were designed in such a manner that would hell the child taking a step towards the corporate world about to come in his her life. Also, the placements in top MNCs are taken care of at a very early stage so that the child does not feel insecure about his her future.

Internships Opportunities

The college does provide internships to students with various skills and courses. However, they do not pay anything to the student.

Placement Experience

4

Coming to the placements, the placements are fair enough taking a college into consideration. Streams like computer science, electronics and electrical have the highest amount of students being placed and getting high packages. Also, other branches were also fairly placed

College Events

5

One of the biggest events that are celebrated each year in my college is the cultural fest which stages biggest event in that region inviting top celebrities of the town. Othe events like the technical fest, freshers party, science day, engineers day, intellectual quiz competitions are also organized along with many more events like this.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well, talking about the fees of the courses. I find it fairly budgeted when compared to colleges of similar status, infrastructure, and quality of education. For the course I've opted mechanical engineering, the fees for the session 2013-2017 was inr 54,000 per semester excluding a hostel fee of 60,000 per year which was laterally increased.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are numerous options available when it comes to scholarships. A wide range of scholarships are given to students from different states, caste or backgrounds

Campus Life

5

Living my four years in Chandigarh University has always felt like a bless to me. The campus environment was very cozy and cherubic with an absolute ban on ragging and stuff like that. Very clean environment. The labs such as robotic lab, mechanical labs and many more like that wee absolutely crafted to perfection.

Hostel Facilities

4

The infrastructure of the hostel was superb, state of the art facilities and the accommodation was really pleasent. The hostel food was fairly good when we look at the quality of the food and also its quantity. Both were up to the mark. Taste was good and neatness was taken care of.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors to be very Frank were not much help at the beginning but as soon as uh get to know each other, the bonding became stronger and they became helpful after that.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is the best that I've witnessed over the years in all kinds of institutions. Very transparent type of exam conduct. A pattern which does not openly discloses the results of students resulting in moral consequences. Instead of this, uploading results to personalised email ids maintaining a secrecy

Admission

After completing my 12th class, I went straight to the University premises and asked for admission in the mechanical branch. I was granted admission immediately. There was absolutely no problem for the marks that you've obtained in your +2. There were many streams but I chose mechanical

Faculty

4

The faculty was good. Ranks were appointed to teachers depending upon their educational qualifications. Starting from lab attendants to assistant professors and proffers to hods. The method of teaching was excellent enabling the students to get to the roots of the problems and teaching them how to overcome it.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
