Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course was one among the best. A lot of focus was given on practical learning. A lot of projects and research is done every year.

Internships Opportunities

No internship was organized. However, there was a little course that was made available to students by teachers and it was good. You will get a certificate for this course.

Placement Experience

1

Only students with good academics were allowed to sit in the placement process. 5-6 percent students were placed. Many major companies like L&T, Infosys etc visited the campus. Average package was up to like 4 lac.

College Events

5

MIET Sammilan was the only tech fest organized by the college. Its the one and only tech fest in the whole J&K state. Maximum footfall: 2500. The organization was good and awesome.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee varies every year but it never exceeds INR 60,000. Except for the first year where the approximate fee value goes up to INR 80,000.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No hostels available. However, there and many good PGs around both for boys and girls.

Faculty

5

The faculty is excellent and informative.. they are very cooperative and interactive. Teachers were very helpful during exam times. Even the administrative faculty is very good and cooperative. Teachers are also technically qualified with Btech and Mtech degrees. Teachers are well experienced with years of experience and technical knowledge. Standard of teaching 9/10. Teachers often use to back up their teaching via powerpoint presentations and other Audio Visual Media Presentations. In the senior years, the college also helped the students by providing appropriate personality development course that would eventually help in the placement process. The college also used to call old college alumni for carrier oriented advanced to the students so that they could choose their carrier options more wisely and precisely. The college also took active roles in Intra college competition and also used to organize various workshops for the students. The teachers were also very supportive and helpful during the final semester project work and used to take an active part in monitoring the working of the students. They also used to guide us and helped a lot to pick up various flaws and mistakes in the projects.

The positive of this college is that the environment is academic friendly and there is a level of strictness maintained by the college authorities. Lack of modern infrastructure and absence of various general and academic facilities hampers the ideal college life of balancing the knowledge and enjoying the college time.
