Placement Experience

2.5

yes there is campus placement and it is not upto that level so many of the students focus on giving further entrance exams such like gate, upsc and many of them go to abroad but currently the scenario of placements are getiing improved.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are very low in tezpur university as it is around 27000 per semester including hostel charges and yes you have to pay separate fees for the mess depending upon which hostel you get and yes there is financial assitance and scholarships are available.

Campus Life

2.5

Yes campus life is pretty good and if you are an outsider then may be you will hate and love this university due to many reasons such like many of the events are hosted in the native language and in events maximum songs are played in assamese which is diffcult for outsiders to vibe on.

Admission

Admission is done through csab counselling and josaa counselling and here 60% seats are reserved for north-east region students which is through TUEE(Tezpur University Entrance Exam) which is conducted by the institution itself. The application fees is 400rs and to get admission in department of mechanical engineering through csab counselling , for general you have to score at least 88%ile

A chapter of growth, my college life

Likes

Since I am in civil dept so the civil dept is the most well maintained and beautiful dept of my college. The faculty members are more or less friendly and good.
Teachers are good and friendly. Specially in civil the seniors are also good and friendly.
In civil dept there are many events which take place as compared to other dept .

Dislikes

Only boys hostel is there but no girls hostel.
In civil dept the placement opportunities are not upto the mark but in other dept specially chemical placement is good even in mechanical too.
Campus can be made more beautiful although work is going on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

See I had the passion for civil since my 10th std. I am really happy about my course . Because there are many job opportunities in govt sector in Assam. I like the teachers of my dept but some are not that friendly . Maybe it depends upon their mood sometimes I don't know really . The civil course is practical it's enjoyable. I would have liked it more if it would had more placement opportunities on campus . Otherwise it's fine

I secured 92.7 percentile in JEE. And with that score I got into the ECE branch of Tezpur university. The main reason I choose this college because of its reputation as a central university and the overall growth of students( not only in case of academics). If you are a resident of North East, you can get into the college using North East quota . You can also get in through CSAB or CUET....Read More

A brief description about Tezpur University

As I had applied in Dibrugarh university also for the same course and I got there but I choosed Tezpur university rather than Dibrugarh university as because the reputation of both the universities are best in there own but TU is a central university and DU is a state university, so there will be much more opportunities and advancement in a central university then a state university and all the family members and others suggested me to take admission here...as Tezpur university is more famous and known by everyone then dibrugarh university. To take admission here and get enrolled in my course (MCA), we have to give an entrance exam which is called "TUEE" by qualifying this exam one can get admission here from any background in bachelor as because there are two MCA courses available here, one is breached and other is non-breached. Breached course is for people with other background in bachelors which is for 3years and Non-breached courses is for people with background in computer science in bachelors which is for 2years. The cutoff changes every year according. One can also get enrolled here in other courses and departments by qualifying exams like CUET, JEE, CAT, MAT etc... Getting a chance to study here is a big opportunity for me....Read More
