What Students Say

Likes

I like the fast food shops available inside the campus and the canteen of the campus very much
The greenery of the campus is mesmerising to me
The campus is really washed with 500 acres of land

Dislikes

Less number of trees at the walking paths does making it hard to walk in summers
The number of eataways are still less And so they have monopoly
Campus is pretty far away from the city Does making it hard to Roam around the campus

Course Curriculum Overview

I am passionate about coding and my curriculum is the exact fit for me. The courses it comes with are mostly concentrated around mathematics and it's applications via coding. Some courses are irrelevant too like a course on history of technology won't help so it should be removed.

Class Size: 430Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides internship opportunities in the fifth semester of the BTech companies such as Google, Microsoft, Wipro come to the campus to provide place internships to the students with some decent stipend ranging from 30,000 to 90,000 per month The number of students getting an internship almost getting a PPO

Placement Experience

4.5

Our institute provides placement opportunities from seventh semester Every placement season around ninety percent students get placed from campus itself with an average package of twenty lakhs and highest package may range between fifty lakhs to seventy lakhs. I plan on pursuing a corporate carrier after my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees can be 15 lakhs at max, but the fee is decided according to financial situation of the student and the reservation under which the student has enrolled. For qualifying students, there are many scholarships and for students with annual income below one lakh, the tuition fees is exempted. Campus placement is also very decent for IIT Ropar. IIT Ropar boasts an average package of 20,00,000.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is amazing in IIT Ropar and the clubs. Here are very active. Throughout the semesters clubs get a definite funding from the college administration. Which helps them to run seamlessly. Also the campus is very spacious and full of greenery.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are equipped with basic Amenities such as fans, cupboards and lighting and a pair of table and chair. At the admission time, students are registered for Hostel within annual fee of 6000 for Hostel. Meals at common mess of the institute are also average and eatable.

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

For entance into IIT, one must clear JEE mains and then JEE advanced. Around 15 lakh students appear for mains and only 10 k make it to IIT. JEE advanced has reputation of one of the most prestigious and difficult exams in India for college entrance. Reservation makes it easy for students to get an eligible rank for IIT so if someone has a reservation then they should definitely get benefits from it.

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

Large student intake. Due to high number of students, sometimes it can be difficult to get individual attention from faculty.
During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation.
