Remarks

Good - enviornment, learning opportunities there is nothing bad but they have to focus on placements. They should bring good companies as it is very important

Entrance Preview

I went to this college through management quota. Only few seats were there. Many seats were from AICTE based exam. Location of this college was good (even though not on highway). Learning opportunities were good.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum was good. Lectures delivered were also ok. Regular internal exams make you prepare for the final semester exams. Books suggested were also good. Library is also having enough books.

Internships Opportunities

There was internal internship. However there is a 6 months training program where you have to take it outside the campus. Hence no stipend was offered.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement was challenging that time. Companies were coming but they were not that good. This area needs to be improved. Most of the placements were off campus

College Events

4

We had many events techninal and cultural also punjabi singers used to come in the cultural nights. In technical events other companies also participated.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was very reasonable. other colleges have too much fee. our college had decent fee structure.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there was no scholarship and loan facility provided. we have to take it from outside bank. You can get loan from any of the private or public bank

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life was fun. you will enjoy your life there. the crowd was also decent ragging is also not much. You will have good sports option e. g basketball, football etc

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel fees was also very less that time even we had rebate system where we get our money back if we take leaves from hostel. that was very good and food was very good. you can have loads of food. no restriction. you will get decent Punjabi food. Timings

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors were really good, initially you may find them rude but gradually you gel up with them and start enjoying their company. your seniors will guide you if you will require any kind of support from them.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was ok however more of practical based test/exams should be carried out exam pattern was ok but still needs to be revamped

Faculty

3.5

Faculty was Good. Their notes and lectures were also decent. Their lectures helped many to clear their semester exams so you will find the faculty helping you out if you go and ask for their help.

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
