AKTU has both pros and cons

Apart from 50+ in PCM, student score from JEE or CUET is taken into account. Students who have failed to make it to IITs are considered here but not with lower ranks. Application form is available online and student can do everything from their desk. There is offline way too but not many students go that way. It takes a lot of time for confirmation and lists keep coming one after the other and hence the first session which ideally should start from June starts in August. This is one area where they can certainly look forward to.

I can compare it with that of international universities as we have students exchange program too. I have seen students of other universities coming and study here and even they agreed that out course is better than what they are taught at their universities. Exams pattern is some every year, one mid semester after 2 months of each semester and finals that account for 80%.

From 7th semester which is the final year students become eligible to sit for the interviews. From Bain capital to Deloitte, every big Indian and international companies come here during placement session. Most jobs were offered in th range of 4lakhs to 10 lakhs and median is 5 lakhs. In absolute percentage terms the placements are around 60 odd percent.

Fees is not that high as I have seen colleges that ask 3 or 4x of what AKTU charges. There are plethora of scholarships being offered in our college and there is a proper department alloted for students to get clarification on what scholarships they can choose from.

The annual cultural fest of AKTU is called Pravah and it is one of the most hyped fests in the state. The crowd goes absolutely beserk as performances of students just kills it. The campus is so huge that there are multiple sports grounds and students can play any sport of their choice. Every department have their sports team too as annual sports competition is also held at the campus. So not just studies students get various other opportunities too, to showcase what they have got.

Faculties are good but favouritism works a lot. You have to be in good books of teachers otherwise you never know. Obviously the university is one of the most reputed one so their degrees and experience is unmatched. All are top rated professors and have great connections in corporates. So if you try to crack to be in their good books you don't have to worry about your future as they guide throughout and help with placements too.
