- The college infrastructure is really nice and huge.
- Great ambience, greenery and green environment in the campus
- Lot of eating joints available inside and outside university at affordable prices
Dislikes
- The teachers are not upto the mark. Most of the faculty members are freshers, just completed Mtech and now started teaching.
- There are no teachers for specialized subjects. Due to shortage of faculty members, any teacher get alloted any random aubject whether they have knowledge of it or not.
- The management does not respond to queries on time. If you face any problem, it is for you to figure out how to solve it by running from one department to another. The employeesin DSW sometimes themselves don't know how to proceed in few cases.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is really not upto the mark, it needs revision. I don't think Engineering degrees in India prepare for real work applications and practical problems, let alone this institution. They need to employ more specialized teachers who have knowledge of technology they are teaching. Exams are really easy, because most students are below average here so they have to make exams simple. Most of the exams are theortical you can clear them with one week of preparation with really good marks. But frequency of exam is really frequent there are two Mid semesters and one final semester exam.
Placement Experience
Campus placements starts from 6th semester Various companies visit the campus every year and every company makes offers according to their needs and business requirements, but companies offering great packages just hire one or two students Highest 35 LPA Average - 3.5 LPA this year 50 percent. My plans would be to join my job after completion of degree
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee is generally incresed by 10 percent every year as per what I have seen fro past few years. Depends upon the scholarship you receive, where you live, etc. Various scholarships are available - Merit Based, sports quota , Jee entrance exam based and they also conduct their own exam CUCET They invite companies for campus placement but they do not offer amazing packages. Only few companies comes who offer more than 10 Lpa and they take just one or two students and number of students are really increasing every year in university, oincreasing the level of competition in placements.
Campus Life
There are various fests CU organise including TEchFest, CUFest, Abhivyaki, Tashan Nights A lot of books and journals are vailable covering almost every domain Few Labs have AC installed, but classrooms just have fans which is a con. Sports facilities are really great in campus. There are various students run clubs in the university like Hackerflow Society
Hostel Facilities
There are various rooms avaiable ranging from 2 seater to 5 seater. Food is nice, quality is also fine, hostel provides food 3 times and evening snacks with tea once. It is difficult to register for hostels since there are lot of students bit hostel facilities are less according to number of students
Admission
You need to clear 12 with PCM One can find application forms on the website or call its admission helpine number I did not avail any reservation Theory subject - 3 exams including 2 MST and one Final exam but Practical subjects two exams one MST and one Final exam Admission process is really smooth
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is really less, there is definitely shortage of faculty members. Some faculty members do have great credentials but they are not alloted their specialized departments, faculty from Electronics is alloted subjects from Computer Sciences that too specialized ones like Microservices, Cloud, Dockers and Kubernetes and they don't have knowledge of the same Teachers are quite approachable, you can text them and mail them ,they will reply but they also cannot solve most of the issues as they are also bound by rules and regulations and afraid of losing job.
