Remarks

Chandigarh University is the best place if you are looking for a bright future ahead because this university is going to prepare you for all the hurdles you're going to face in the future

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is designed by the industry experts and the exam pattern is also great. The relative grading system is followed by the university which allows everyone to score good grades and is beneficial for the students. The course is divided into three units which are covered within the time limit which is pre-decided by the university.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are the only reason which attracts most of the students to take admission here. Every year more than 500+ companies visit the university to hire students. Highest package offered currently is around ?31LPA

College Events

4.5

There is always something happening in the campus...you won't find the campus quiet ever...CUTEST which is the biggest youth fest of the country, the annual sports meet, other co-curricular activities keep the students engaged throughout their semesters.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since I'm enrolled in a specialized course that's why my per semester fees is a little higher than the other engineering courses...my per semester fees is 83000 and with that I'm asked to pay 1500 every year as the examination fees...then they ask you to pay around 250 for first to years for the fresher's party and then you have to pay 500 every year for the CUTEST which is considered as the biggest youth fest of the country

Fees and Financial Aid

If your % in class 12th is above 90% then university provides you 100% scholarship in all the courses except for my course because it is in collaboration with IBM so there is no scholarship in that

Campus Life

4.5

As I mentioned earlier that campus life is the best out there... every time there is something or the other going in the campus... university keeps on organizing various activities time to time to allow students to showcase their inner talents. University has students from all the 29 States and from so many other countries.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students help us a lot through our journey of 4 years in the college... Seniors keep on conducting seminars to share their experiences and knowledge which is always helpful.

Admission

One of my close friends advised me to take admission in Chandigarh University and the day I have a visit to the campus and after my counseling session I was sure about the university and decided to take admission in Chandigarh University. Counselors, there were so polite and knowledge and the way they explained to me about the future scopes of the course and everything it just made me sure about my decision

Faculty

4.5

Facilities in Chandigarh University are selected after 4-5 rounds of interview and every teacher is best in their respective fields. Vice-chancellor who is the youngest Ph.D. holder himself interviews the candidates and only the best out of the best are chosen

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
