Likes
- I like the infrastructure and amenities of the new buildings (i.e South block). The walkways are covered wich is a lifesaver during the summer months. The campus life is also very good, there are alot of dj nights and other concerts.
- The overall quality of the academics are at par with other top private universities in India.
- Placement program of our university is very good alot of good companies come here.
Dislikes
- I dislike the buildings of the main campus where most of the engineering department is set. The buildings are not very well built there are no specific walkways you have walk on road in the heat there is no shade.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is well set considering the industry needs and demands in my opinion. The curriculum is heavily influenced by the curriculum of IITs. The real-world applications are kept in mind while designing the curriculum. I think the only improvement that's required is in the teaching methods. The frequency of the exams is after every month which I think is a bit too frequent.
Internships Opportunities
There alot of internships offered through official chanels. They also provide noc if you wish to apply for internship. The stipend that are offered on average is ?8000 per month depending on the branch you are from.
Placement Experience
In the case of engineering the students are eligible for campus placements from the 6th Semester. A lot of companies visited including Microsoft, Accenture, Cognizant, Amazon, and many more. The average package was 8 lakh per annum and the highest was 56 lakh per annum for domestic and 2 crore for foreign placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
Till date, only hike in my tution fee is 500 in the examination fee. Other than that there is a fee hike for new students every year during admissions. Our university offers very good scholarship programs to avail that you have to go cucet and score high. Also to maintain the said scholarship you have to maintain a 7.5 CGPA.
Campus Life
There are at least 8-9 festivals in a calendar year with a lot of high-profile performers. The biggest two festivals are freshers and a fest. The social aspects are also good, there are a lot of places to socialize within the campus. There are 100s of clubs to join.
Admission
The eligibility for my course was 75% in class 12. For admission, they also recommend taking a cucet. All of the information is readily available on the official website. The addmission process was very smooth I had to be given 10,000 to book my seat (refundable) till I paid fully to secure my admission.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is good enough in my opinion. To provide the quality of faculty being from CSE I can only say about my department. Most of the faculty are well-trained and knowledgeable. Always there would be some exceptions some of the faculty members have very little knowledge about their subjects but a number of those teachers is very low. I only know hardly 4 or 5 such teachers.
