Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The BBA LLB course has impacts on both law and business fields. This includes subjects like accounts , management etc in which I have a lot of interest. It does prepare me for real world applications that I can use in my internships and jobs. A few areas are still to be improved in the course which includes lack of a proper teacher in accountancy. The difficulty level is not so high. A student can easily pass out if he studies properly. The frequency of exam is quite fast but is manageable.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Internship opportunities are presented by the college from 3rd year but one can start from 1st year if they are interested. The college gives internship break every year for 2 months as summer vacation.

Placement Experience

4

Placements in our college has been improved a lot now. Since 2022 , The placement cell gives students excellent opportunities. And the highest placement package reached till date is 16 lakhs per annum. Whereas average package is 5 lakhs per annum. The recruiters includes, Tata, Infosys, Amazon and so on. Students willing to get placements participate and registered themselves in the placement cell of the college. In every batch about 45% students apply for placements. I am planning to study higher education i.e, LLM after pursuing bachelor's degree. So I am not interested in placement of the college. Students from 4th year are eligible for placements

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are not available. The fee structure is 1.50 lakhs per annum. That means 75000 per semester as there are 2 semesters for each year. And the course is for 5 years. So 7.50 lakhs is the total course fee. I being a non local student applied for hostel and the fees for 2 bed AC hostel is 1.60 lakhs per annum including mess fee. The price for 3 bed Ac hostel is 1.30 lakhs per annum including mess fee and for 4 bed non ac hostel it takes 90000 including mess fee.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience in the campus is very good. My classmates and faculties all are very supportive. There us no complaints of ragging also there is an anti ragging committee in the college. The college have clubs like photography club named frames. Students can join in that.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel is very good. Rooms are clean and large and spacious. But food quality is below average. The hostel fees is taken at the time of admission. There are also many flats and pgs are available outside the college.

Admission

One can give SAAT exam or CLAT to be eligible for the seat in this college according to their marks. Application form and dates are all available in the official website of soa. There are no reservation benefits The frequency of exam is quite high but not as such difficult from the very beginning. It is manageable During the admission process, students should go to main campus that is iter from where main admission takes place. But they can easily take admission in the college itself. No need to go further for an admission. They also accept educational loans from banks on yearly basis.

Faculty

5

There are in total 60 faculty members in the college and each batch of students holds almost 200 students. But it is totally alright for maintaining the learning environment among each other. The faculty members are very supportive and some of them have excellent approach to teaching and mentorship. I,being a second year student, intreacts a lot with the teachers regarding doubts or knowing about any opportunities for internship and all.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BA LLB (Hons) is an integrated course that offers dual degree. The first two years curriculum covers the Humanitites subjects and few law subjects; while the last three years focuses on only the law subject. The curriculum has included all the major legal subjects and thus overall is designed to make the mot of the five years. There are three permanent faculties but many guest faculties will be dealing with several aspects of law. The batch strength is 60 and therefore, each student gets the required attention. The faculties of the college are highly experienced. The permanent facultites have a post doctoral degree in the relevant subject. The teaching method however, is quite traditional. A student may not find the classes interactive. Every semester, the students are evaluated by an internal test, a viva and a semester examination. The internal test and viva carry a weightage of 10 marks each while the semseter carries a weightage of 80 marks. Scoring marks can be a bit difficult.

Academically it's good, but poor infrastructure. No one cares about the infrastructure, since four years we just see the buildings getting painted but no renovation is being done because as we are being said that no proper funding is being provided.
