Remarks

It was an experience full of learning and celebrations which was definitely made possible by college faculty, management, and student associations. A big thanks to all who made my 4-year journey a big success.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course for engineering is designed keeping in view the ever-changing requirements of the industry. It acts as a guide for students to work on latest technologies and upscale their knowledge. Exams are taken thrice in a semester. With Minor exams (20 marks each) held twice and Major exam (50 marks) held once. 10 marks are for internal assessment. Overall it is a fair course curriculum.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement cell is highly active and continuously strives for better results. Many organizations visit the college, Navarro, TCS, Wipro, StatusBrew, ClickLabs, InfoObjects to name a few, which offer internships and job opportunities to candidates. I myself bagged job offer with TCS, which visited our campus. And currently working with Navarro.

College Events

4

Many technical events are held within the department where candidates can showcase their talent and implement what all they have learned. Cultural events are also an integral part of college, known as JASHN which is celebrated in the month of March. It provides an insight to the student of their rich heritage and culture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees are collected from students each semester. The first year (1 semester + 2 semesters) fees vary from 80,000 to 1 lac. Subsequent semester fees vary from 45,000 to 50,000. University provides fee concession to special categories and those with less family income.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, I did not opt for any education loan but college has a provision to accept fees via the loan, DD, cash for which they provide prior notifications to avoid delay.

Campus Life

3.5

GNDU is a place full of life. Gender ratio and diversity are fair. Lab facilities are good with all modern equipment and trained staff members. Regular events take place, both inter-college and intra-college in the field of sports, academics, culture. Being a university it does focus on aspects other than engineering too, which includes debate competitions in different languages.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a strong Alumni cell. The faculty is in connection with many professionals who are working in great organizations to provide regular career guidance to students. Senior students who are passed out often post relevant job opportunities on university Facebook pages.

Admission

I took nonmedical (Science) after class 10 and gave JEE Mains exam (earlier known as AIEEE) in class 12. This exam generally takes place in the month of April, however, new guidelines do come up every year for the same. According to marks secured in JEE mains and rank achieved, seats are allocated with the preference of each candidate. GNDU also offers admission on basis of class 12 board exam marks.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty of my college is highly motivated towards their work. They are well qualified in their field of study and provide knowledgeable insights in every aspect. With more focus on practical and having concepts being implemented rather than theory, definitely provide students great drive to become a professional who is ready for industry.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Good staff are very nice and supportive nature. There are not any faculty problem. Functions are organized in a very large scale which is very good. Ragging are strictly banned in college which is very good for fresher students. BAD: lack of equipment and machines in labs. Lack of practical knowledge for students.
