Course Curriculum Overview
I studied BSCG from IGNOU. The course has 18 practicals and 24 theory subjects with their assignments for three years. Each year 6 practicals and 8 theory exams and their assignments to be submitted the same year if you do all this systematicall, it's a easy course. You just need to be punctual and attentive during the sessions conducted by the study centre. Also do precious year paper for theory examination and you will find it easy to score a good percentage in your markesheet.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course fee per year is ?4000 for three years i.e.12000 overall. And for theory exam you need to pay ?200 per subject. There is no fee for practical exams. Their is no scholarship as it's an open University.
Campus Life
Their is not much extra curricular activities offered by the university or the study centre as it is an open University course only the regular students are allowed to participate in the fests and other activities. Their is no clubs or social groups established for the open University students as such . You only got to go to the college campus on weekends or on holiday of regular college.
Admission
For BSC you must have completed your 12th with appropriate percentage. You can easily find the application form on the site of IGNOU that is ignou.ac.in. The admission happens twice a year for December session and July session. Recently the fresh admission forms have been released for July session and the last date for it is 30th July. The admission process is easy and after a few weeks you will get your identity card once admission confirmed by the university.
Faculty
The faculty at the study centre of mine that is Zakir Hussain College is very good in managing the students and solving their queries. They only take 30-40 students in the practical at once that make it easy for us to understand the concepts discussed in the class during practical. The teachers are very helpful and approachable.
