Chandigarh University - A University for the Students for great future

I'm pursuing Bachelor's of Engineering {Hons.} ( Computer science and engineering) In Data Science (IBM) . For the first year Students: The course curriculum includes Coding classes and lab lectures of coding , basic Physics of engineering and Maths for engineering , Workshops , and Experiments classes of Physics and Communication skills Lectures. As it prepares for the real world challenges faced by students after graduation. And if a student is interested in coding the university provides Hack-a-thons Competition so the students can do better in coding , Galaxy gambits for the students who are interested in Space and Galaxy , Workshop projects for those who are interested in making new and innovative products , and many more Extra Curricular activities. The exams are not difficult for the students who have attended the class properly and have studied for the exam The exams timings are 1 hour for internal exams ( Mid term Exams ) and 3 hours for external (End term Exams) .

Interships are provided by the university regarding the course of the student . The internship can be stipend paid or the student can also do internship in the Campus only if the student is pursuing masters .

From 6th semester students are eligible for Campus placement The placement of the student depend on the CGPA scored by the student and the skills gained by the student . There are many companies that have visited the university for placement like IBM , ACCENTURE, MICROSOFT, VISTARA, TCS, etc. The highest package gained by the student is of 50 lakhs and the average package gained by the students is of 6-7 lakhs per annum. Percentage of students who got placement is 80% And the rest are planning for master's degree.

As each year passing by the tution fee increases by 10 to 20 thousand rupees. As the engineering degree provide skills and improvement of students. Currently the total fee of the course I paid is 134200 as tution fee 2500 as security and 2500 as examination fee. Security and examination fee are compulsory charges . The scholarship depends of the percentage of the student scored in the 12th class or in the CUCET exam . Also University provide student loan for the students who are not financially stable or the student can pay their fee by part payment. The campus provide placement and also stipend paid internships .

The campus life of Chandigarh University is good as the university organises fest and events and EDM nights for the students for refreshment from hectic college life . The Starcast of many movies have visited the university like Gippy Grewal and Shinda Grewal for SHINDA SHINDA NO PAPA and Siddharth Malhotra for Yodha and The team of Chamkila and many more Singers like Ankit Tiwari , Ammy Virk , Gippy Grewal, etc. Academic blocks of the university have libraries and the Central Library of the university is in the academic block B1 and the D6 You can read novels, autobiography, biography, research paper , course related books all are available there . And Computers are also there for online study. The university also supports NSS and NCC . And Student club like Robotics club , Discipline Team, DACA club , Sports club , etc. And the university also provides 10 days duty leave which can be accessed by the student for participation in the Club or volunteering in any university event .

The Hostels of the university are Tagore , Sukhna , Lecorbusier, Gobind and shivalik which are girls hostel and for boys there are NC , Zakir and Sachdeva. Each hostel have 2 or more blocks for the students Some hostel have AC ducts fir the students and Some have Coolers . Each room have 4 students with seperate cupboards and there are 4 comman Washroom on each floor . Meal is nutritious but the quality is okok of the food. Hostels are affordable as the fee of hostel varies between 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh per year . Which includes mess and gym . Each block of have 2 wardens for 3 to 4 floors one warden is there . Registration process is easy for hostel as the student have to opt weather he or she wants the hostel or not and it's preference.

You can take admission by giving the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Exam (CUCET) which also provides scholarship for the students according to their percentage they scored in the exam . You can find the application form on Google and they have also provided the prospectus online so the students can see . You have to reserve your seat first if haven't decided to take admission here yet , if somehow you're not able to take admission here then you can also take refund of the reservation fee. The entrance exam is based upon you General Knowledge and basic subjects for the course you have opted. The exams varies with various of course related subjects. The exams is of basic knowledge of the subjects. The area of improvement is the Conversation between the students and the Counselor.

Mostly Faculty members have PhD degrees and some have their masters degree and pursuing PhD degree in their particular education field. The ratio of faculty is to students is 1 for 40 . Each group of 40 students have their own Mentor who is responsible for the whole class . The mentor make sure that each and every student is doing good in the class and facing no issues in the University. The Faculty clear all the doubts of the students and also provide remedial classes , if the student was unable to attend the class during lecture time due to some issues , then student can attend the remedial classes provided in Saturday and Sunday of the week. You can interact with teachers in their free lecture and they will help you solving your doubts.
