Remarks

There is a problem in our college that the clerks didn't did their work well. When we gave our college fees or we goes to college for results of any certificates, the wasted our time max times.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam I had to give. I passed out H.S. of W.B.C.H.S with 47% of marks and that can be said as entrance exam. The college is near to my house and Sammilani Mahavidyalaya is not bad what I heared.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The b.sc course curriculum is great for students which means that the students will know something about their study. As my college is under C.U. authorization.

Internships Opportunities

My overall college internship experience is good. We had many class rooms and there is a garden with field where we can spend time. Stipend offerd from west bengal government for basically sc and st not for general student.

Placement Experience

1.5

There is no placement opportunities. We have to find job for own. The college only teaches study. And this job they can do well.

College Events

3.5

Sammilani Mahavidyalaya celebrates many events like saraswati puja, independence day etc. And the students are also shows interest about the events. Faculties and also college clerks also takes part of it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of Sammilani Mahavidyalaya is slightly high. Where the the other C.U recognized colleges takes a small amount of fees. But not so high that to give fee we had any problems.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is not so good scolarship or loan facilities. And i also not availed any of the scholarship or loan. But there is scholarship for very meritorious students.

Campus Life

4

The campus life was great. The labs were very good. What is needed for study, there is everything. And some competitions like debates or about study organized there.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

I was studied for house. And there is also no hostel for students. At sammilani Mahavidyalaya whom are studied, they live near from college that is not so big problem as Other mess is affordable.

Alumni/Alumna

No no there is no problems like ragging or any harassment. Senior students were very Frank and they also helps and encourages us that we can study well.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is very tuff. And many of us were failed. We studied well but the question is so tuff that writing answers is a headache for us.

Faculty

4

The faculties are good. They can also teach well. But the students are not to much willing to study. Faculties gives time for students well. But some faculties are not so good and they gives a little time for students.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
