What Students Say

Likes

There is a library in the college that I like the most.
The teachers are very helpful mostly the teachers of our department.

Dislikes

There is no playground or any filed that the girls can play during sports week.
There is no any co-curricular activities for the girls.
Lack of smart classes for the girls that can be useful for them.

Course Curriculum Overview

I always had interest in Education as a subject course. This curriculum really helped me a lot for my exam preparation and also for the future. The teaching methods and the curriculum is quite impressive.

Class Size: 10Course Fees: INR 9000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship should be available in an easy way for the girls so that they can easily understand . And also the cost should be less for the girls so that all the girls can take admission. 10,000 price should be given as scholarship for the girls.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life was wonderful and great. I enjoyed the annual festivals and the technical festival. I got many facilities in the classroom regarding the helpful nature of the teacher , curriculum, activities etc.

Admission

The admission process was quite hard as everytime we had to take admission in online. We found the application form in the college website. The frequency and exam timing is not that hard I found it easy and useful.

As a regular government college, no relevance to placements
The size of the college is quite small and needed more seats
No extra mentorship for curriculum development

My department (Geography) Faculty members are very good.
The teachers not only help in academics but also guide us for our better well-being.

Dislikes

Construction is going on in the college campus.
Though it has gain the autonomous tag still didn't get any such benefit.
The toilets are very unhygienic and have very bad odour.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our course is very easy to understand anyone who is new to this branch or doesn't have any idea about geography can easily understand the topics through the guidance of our faculty members. They provide extra classes for better understanding of the students.

I like the way the teachers of our department interact with us. They are very friendly. The campus is very good. We had sitting place for students to sit and relax when they don't have classes. We had a good playground.
The students of silapathar college are quite wonderful, friendly, helpfull.

Dislikes

Things I don't like about my college is , the principal of our college is quite rude, doesn't interact with the students. He don't even allow to enter to his office.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose English literature because I want to study literature, wants to study more about people. In our department there are very few students, 60% are girls and 40% are boys. We had four teachers in our department, namely, DR. PUBALI BORA KASHYAP (Qualification: M.A, Ph.D., UGC- NET), PREM PRASAD SHARMA (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL), Gitima Deka (Qualification: M.A., M.PHIL), Raju Pegu (Qualification: M.A, M.PHIL). The teachers take tests continuously.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I love it and for this course here is the best option. The student-Faculty ratio is 30: Teachers have passed the master's degree 4)The exams are organized 6 times a year and it is not too tough nor too easy depending on the preparation of the students

To be honest this college was not in my option in the first place. But at the end due to some circumstances I took admission here. But here it's boring, functions and programmes are celebrated limitedly and there's nothing to enjoy in this college compared to other colleges. The admission process was quite easy as my percentage was above 80 I got direct admission into the college....Read More

An overview

For my course, I didn't have any kind of entrance but for English entrance was indeed conducted. The application process was simple, we first got to fill out the form online then the college provided a day for the admission, on that day they would accept the payment in the college, at my time I paid in the college so if the system is changed now idk but yh the admission was done like that. If anyone is on the waiting list they will inform us later if they will be able or not. A person should at least have a percentage of 60% if the cut-off is not high sometimes...Read More
