Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I choosed this course because of the job range being available in this particular course. The curriculum is limited only to the book and theory standards. There are very rare incidents where you will be experiencing a bond with real-world applications. More practical practice should be introduced. Should let free students to explore their core strength by letting them go through every possible trending and demanding job domains. each semester there are three exams. And two practicals. Two monthly exams known as MST(Monthly semester term) happens twice in two months. And then there is the final semester term. That is the final semester exam. The exams contain questions of moderate level. But there have been incidents where the questions have come from out of sylaabus.

Placement Experience

3.5

from 7th semester or the second last semester of the respective courses students become eligible for campus placement. companies like Amazon, atlassian, z-scaler, Bosch, TCS, Nokia, standard chattered, deollite, Accenture, Tejas networks, coditas, capegimini, etc.. And have made huge offers. Z-scaler provided the highest package of 29LPA and had offered 1 student. 65% of students are getting placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

In 2019 the tution fee was 80,000 INR. But till my graduation that. Was in 2023 it has raised to 1,5,0000 INR. Students are unaware of the tution fees increase policy. On what basis and what grounds do they increase fees. My four years tution fees in total was - 3,20,000 My four years hostel fees in total was - 3,44,000 For letting students sit for placement drives they charged 8,000 per student On total pursuing BE from CU cost me 6,72,000 INR CU offers two major scholorship. First one is CUCAT it's an entrance exam that is conducted by CU. This exam can let students avail upto 100% scholorship. The second one is defence scholorship. In which student will get upto 10% off in the tution fees. To maintain this scholorship the student needs to maintain a minimum CGPA OF 7.5. If the student fails to maintain this CGPA, the scholorship will get terminated.

Campus Life

3.5

CU hosts many fests throughout the year on various occasions and the festivals. There are various types of books available in library but the versions and copies are very limited. The infrastructure within the classes are very basic. There are various sports and extracurricular activities happen like cricket competition, boxing, running other sports activitiea as well. In extracurricular activities there is a dedicated department named DSW ( Department of student welfare) student can participate in various activities like singing, modelling, acting etc through this department. DSW is the department that enlightens the impact of student life within the campus

Hostel Facilities

3.5

1) For boys it's a five seater room, with AC, non AC availability. For girls it's a four seater with no AC. In room there will be a separate wardrobe, studytable, bed, chair, charging and lan cable for each student. 2) Meal quality is very good, menu gets changed on. Weekly basis. A student can expect a healthy and tasty hostel food. 3) During the admission you can avail the hostel facilities.

Admission

As this is a private college any student who has passed his/her 12th standard can avail this college and the deaired course. application form, application fees and application fees can be known Chandigarh University official page. Also these details are available on collge duniya website. The entrance exam for CU is quite moderate. The exam can easily be cleared with moderate understanding of 12th concepts. since this is a private college there is no limit in admission, students are taking admissions in the month of October and the college is letting them in. I believe this is the area where they should think about students carrier not their money making approach.

Faculty

2.5

1) The average faculty-to-student ratio is 60:1. Which eventually disrupts the flow of learning as it turns out be a mass sitting. In such situations the focus of learning gets deviated on various unnecessary aspects. 2) coming on to faculty's credentials on an average many faculty who are teaching are themselves in post graduation so they cannot be expected to be much experienced in teaching. Their approach lies in Finishing the course as soon as possible. 3) you can interact with the teachers whenever you feel like. But they won't be giving answering to your every queries. They speak only the words that are provided by the management.

Placement Experience:

Students generally become eligible for placement from 7th semester, with numerous major companies like wipro, cognizant and various tech startups visit the campus with various offers. The university sees a high percentage of students getting placed. The package are widely depending on various skill and codes. Furthermore while the highest package looks impressive on paper, the avg package remains modest for the majority of the batch. My personal plans after getting the degree focus on exploring independent entrepreneurial ventures rather than tradition corporate placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
