- The best thing i like about the college is its campus and the environment inside the campus.
- Second thing i liked about college is its bus service, they have more than 100 buses which run all over dehradun.
- Third thing i like about it is its fest known as grafest and its literally crazy . It is the best fest in the town.
Dislikes
- The thing that I dont like about this college is its management the don't have good management. In my first year there were know proper classes to sit they change the classes daily we have to move from one place to another to take classes.
- Teachers here also are not good, they were just doing formalities they come to class and just talk. Whenever we ask for help, there answer was always no.
- The classrooms were also not good some ceiling fan works amd some not. In summers sitting in class is literally difficult.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is excellent it covers mostly all fields like web dev, ml ai, dsa, core subject whatrlever needed for placements. The have specialization courses also but I opted for core MCA only. The course really prepares well for real life application if you will be focused in it. Some areas can be improved like in elective subject teacher selects the subject for student and it will be for all. We have mid and emd sem regularly but the time span between them is really short or only it fells like it is short.
Placement Experience
For MCA you are eligible from 4th sem for the placements. Accenture, capgemini, infosys etc MNCs visits campus accenture hired around 180 candidates and infosys hired 9-10 candidates. Highest placement is 80lpa and average placement is 3-4lpa. Around 20% students are placed till now. Plans after getting degree is to work on good mnc.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is good and really transparent. The caution money is deducted in fee. But they asl for fees fro next sem in current sem like we dont have mid exams started of sem 1 and they asked for sem 2 fee. Its really fast. Tution fee not increases regularly. The complete cost of education is around 2.5 lakhs. They provide many scholarships like uttarakhand domicile, army parent, sibling in same college etc. but the placement is not good or may be its due to recession.
Campus Life
Annual festivals called grafest in GEHU AND GEU dehradun is veri crazy and best in the town. It is held in summers every year. Almost you can find all the books in library. You have facility to fill your wayer bottles and in summers you will get cold water and they have smart class in every classes. Sports is also played in college like football cricket almost all games are played. Many clubs and social groups works in campus.
Admission
Eligibility of course is that you should. Have more than 60 percent in graduation. You can find the application form in college website or you can directly go to the college. Application fee is 1500 rupees. Talking about exams you will mid and end sem and the question paper is not difficult.
Faculty
Faculty member are highly qualified. The ratio of faculty to student ratio is like we have 150 students in a class and 4-5 faculties for each subjects. Teacher follows approach of covering syllabus rather focusing on students understanding of the topic. We interact with teacher mostly the solves our doubt of we have any doubt in calss but outside class they dont focus on you that much.
