Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is up to date and even quite structured. They also take effort in making us learn on demand skills and provide us with relevant certifications we need as per demand.Their ppts are sufficient to pass the college examinations plus the books given by them are really helpful. Course should be more practical based like in coding lectures they should allow us our laptops for practical implementations and also give proper attention towards students. We have 2 mid semester test in between semester and one final end semester test. The MST are if 20 marks and the finals are of 60 marks and rest 40 are internals in which 20 are counted from the MSTs and rest our the worksheets, quizes, viva, etc.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

At the end of 3rd year and even in 5th semester we get compnies for internships like Philips, MyKarma, LG solution, JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley etc with arounf 50000 as stipend. As i mentioned college also providies many research internship opportunities as well in india as well as abroad with stipend. We had a company named Toddler they hired 4 students and gave them offer letter as well

Placement Experience

3.5

From end of 3rd year you become eligible for campus placements and yes companies do visit from big renowned companies to startups like microsoft, amazon, nokia, LG solutions, Philips, Cummens etc There were 700 offers made last year and the highest package was 54.50 in Palo alto and average package would be 6 lakhs. Around 50% students gets placed and my plan after degree would be MBA

Fees and Financial Aid

At my time back in 2021 the semester fee was 90000 but now they have increased it to 136000. they have 2000 as examination fee now increased to 2500 and security fee of 2000. They have scholarships based on CUCET exam and your 12th percentage,I got 50% scholarship so my per semester fee was 45000 and yes they have loan faciltity. Campus placements are going on as i have entered my 4th year now but as per heard from our seniors the campus placement is good becuase companies do visit from big multinational companies to startups everypne are there. They provide a TEEP internship in which they send us Taiwan on a research based internship where 40000 is given as stipend and also certificates are awarded

Campus Life

3.5

In march we have our CU-Fest in which all cultural and technical events are being held,Then lateron we have freshers which start from april and goes on till 5 days in which in afternoon orientations are held and in night events are organised for students Library is quite good and you can access the books through a card. The classrooms are pathetic there are no AC no projector working and even no infrastrcture in my block especially else the D block is very beautiful and have good classes. For sports we have sports complex where almost every game is played and students are encouraged and welcomed to play there and we have 2 basketball court also in the main campus with volleyboll yard and badminton also and also one main ground in which any sport can be played. We have many clubs from IEEE to gfg and all conduct many activities which our worth experiencing

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are quite good.Fees of my hostel is 90000 non ac 4 seater room and the food is amazing like they give proper food and water faciltities. Hostel management is also quite quick and cleanliness is up to mark I never stayed in any PG from stating i am staying in hostel

Admission

Any 12th pass can apply for any course in this university, there is no as such selection criteria to get into chandigarh university. Applications open around May on chandigarh university website and also available offline.Application fee is 1000 indian rupee and applicatipn dates are around june. No reservation benefits are availed in the university There are 2 mid semester exams of 20 marks each and a final paper of 60 marks in each semester and the difficulty level is between easy to moderate as you can pass the exams through the ppts given by teachers.

Faculty

3

Faculties to student ratio is quite good i.e balanced,we have many teachers for a particular subject to ask query about. The teachers qualities and their teaching methodology is fixed here.Like there are many quaified and experienced teachers who knows a lot but they only teach the top batches,as i mentioned there are ample number of students here so around 40-50 sections are there ,the top batches 4-5 have great teachers and rest all are okaiesh ,some make us study and some not.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
