Goods are that the campus is lushy green, positive vibes and peaceful generally. The all over crowd of students is also genuine

Hidden charges are frequent, this fest this project, this assignment this file this exam etc.

Course Curriculum Overview

As i have electronics and communication they tought me accordingly brushed 12th basics, taught basic required programming as well. So till now i am feeling in correct fold. Talking about practicals, enough labs were taken as well

Internships Opportunities

Companies like tcs, wipro, honeywell, airtel mahindra, etc are active in internship opportunities. I have heard about these not sure as i am from second year just in. Paid internships from 10 k to 25k i have heard and also the ppo from third year also.

Placement Experience

Placement is decent in college, like i came to hear that students got 30 lpa 40 lpa 50 lpa So ya not too placement deprived.Genrally a student becomes skilled to intern and placed in 3 year and final year so yes mostly in these years majority of students get ppo as well as get placed and do paid internships as well

Fees and Financial Aid

Ok so the main scholarship that was being told of was of their entrance admission CUCET, as much high you score there is a scholarship percentage bar Then the state or national toppers of cbse jee etc were given some scholarship. Then i searched there were some scholarship on caste based as well but i didn't digged deep as i am from genral. The total academic fee they told was 1.2 lakh per year they said it will be same for four year.. as well as other charges like exam fee assignment stationery and total i will do of 1.5 lakh per annum will cost averagely to a Student.

Campus Life

Campus life is very good , actively people gather , do jamming, skill showing activities, hangout with friends... So i feel a good enjoyable campus. There are clubs like societies created to rebirth your hidden passion that you left. Art clubs dance club photography club etc but these are to be joined from 2nd year. Sports facilities are excellent, big grounds indoor courts all equipments and in working condition. So very much satisfied in sport section.

Admission

I took admission via my cucet exam which they take before admission (their own entrance) as well as they asked my jee and 12th marks. Didnt availed any reservation benifits. I saw about college in an newspaper advertisement, then i searched its nirf ranking which was good. I read reviews on quora watched youtube videos. Then selected it

Faculty

Faculty student ratio is generally 1 to 35-45.it is ok doesn't too bothering as it is ok and controllable by faculty. Faculties (most of them) are good in communication, use ict for teaching , good in conveying concepts as well as in operating practicals. Many faculties are alumny of nit's iit's Dtu andshare their experience of there. Every one has their WhatsApp group or google classroom for connectivity and events and we can approach them easily as they have time... accordingly

The infrastructure is great with state of the art labs and equipment
The library is really nice place to study
Lots of hangout spots in and around campus

Less opportunities for core branches as less core companies visit campus
75 percent attendance policy for classes
Very high fees compared to other colleges

Placement Experience:

Companies start coming summer internships in the 5th and 6th semester though ,CG cuts are imposed so very less students are elgible to sit for these companies, The real placement season is 7th and 8th semester and many companies visit campus for placements. around 60 percent students got placed in the recent placement drive. The major recruiters are: Oracle, CISCO, JPMC,Deloite,IBM,ZS etc.

The Scholarship benefit is good when compared to other universities the fee is also not very huge.The Infrastructure of the campus was vast and there arelots of stall to purchase food items etc
There is a big mall through which You can get necessary items .In every hostel you will have departmental stores
The faculty was highly qualified. The Placements opportunities are also good The average was offered was 5-6 LPA.The Lpu newly Launched Education Revolution is very good for students

Dislikes

The mandatory 75% attendance policy for every subject.If you not maintain you will debar from End term examinations which is not all good
The Roads are not that much good .The roads are made of parking tiles instead of Thar
The distance between hostels and main gates are nearly 1.5 -2 km which not at all good .but there e-rickshaw they charge 15 rupees per person to drop from hostel to main gate

The course cirriculum changes every year by rapid changes happening due to AI The University has also launched a new school called School of AI and emerging technologies.from this every year syllabus changesand exams pattern changes .the difficulty of exams is increasing day by day.

There are 1 AC Lecture complex()LT with almost a seating capacity of 100-120 students, with smart screens and projector.
NITJ has well maintained 4 Girls hostel and 4-5 boys hostels with proper cleanliness and hostel staff.
They are 7 cafeterias in the Campus, including 3 Nescafe outlets,1 dominos and 3 regular canteens that serve food late night.

Dislikes

Wifi and connection issues in the hostels
Slow response to emails and late approval to applications
The ICE department faculty is quite strict. Tough grading system and administration.

Placement Experience:

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

The campus is very green and clean. Infrastructure is good and one can feel fresh air here in campus
The faculty is excellent, almost all of the professors and assistant professors have a degree from renowned institutes. So they know their subject and field very well.
Hostels are good and affordable. Although the hostels itself are old, services are good and you get a nice room for the price/rent

Dislikes

The crowd isn't good. Always demotivated to do anything productive regarding studies. Some people are just here for time-pass
Very less site and outdoor visits. For practical experience, they should conduct industrial visits, but that happens rarely
Placements are really Dry and there is decline in company visits for placement.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum

Chandigarh University - My experience from fees to social life

I gave cucet but can't find the college that have cse in their colleges. That time my father was recently posted in chandigarh as chandigarh university was very close to me and the transport is also easy and I don't have to pay the hostel fees and I can be a day scholar also so I choosed this college as it provide a good network of peoples. The admission process was to simple ,I just applied for their entrance online exam cucet and booked a slot gave online test of 100 mcq from the selected domain and after that I got scholarship and to confirm my seat I have to pay 10000 part of my semester fees (that 10000 was from my semester fees) and after doing online formalities and upload document.
