What Students Say

Likes

Environment, culture is good as it provides positivity
Placements and faculties are having knowledge

Dislikes

They have Debarment Policy for placements
Lack of communication gap between Departments.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course curriculum is up to the mark but there few subjects and online courses that university asks students to complete which are not that impactful for the students in their life and academics. difficulty level of exams is easy.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 105000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies like morgan stanley, nokia, scaler, cognizant, wipro provides internships to students stipend ranging from 25000 to 75000 per month. CRC department plays a crucial role in providing internships and placements to students.

Placement Experience

Placement are pretty good as last year around 900 companies visited for campus placements and some the sudents even secured multiple offers. Companies from all fields visits the campus and recruit students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fees gets increased rapidly as in 2021 BE CSE fees for semester was Rs.105000 but now in 2024 its around 160000. But to get relief from such high fees University conducts an exam CUCET that provides scholarship on the basis of marks obtained.

Campus Life

Overall experience is good as culture is very good and there are many clubs and events going on daily basis. So students can participate in co curricular activities to enhance thier personality. Even there is a sports complex in the university.

Admission

Admission eligibilty is low so even a student with less score in class 12 can take admission and the whole process is quite simple and easy. It can be done fully online too. Students can even ask for scholarships on thier class 12 marks.

Faculty

Faculty to student ration is very high as there are only 2100 faculty and total of 10000 students which makes it difficult for teachers to solve each students problems. Intracting with teachers is easy.

Good and modern campus infrastructure. The university is large, modern with good classrooms, labs, hostels and tec.
Most teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and explain concepts clearly.
The university provides placement drives, training sessions, career guidance and etc.

Dislikes

During peak hours, some areas of the campus can be crowded.
The quality of hostel food is not much satisfying.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chandigarh University are generally good, with students becoming eligible for campus placements in the later semesters, dependiing on their course. Many companies visit the campus for recruitment, offering roles in IT, engineering, management and other fields. The packages vary by company and profile with some students receiving high packages while others get average entry-level offers. Placement opportunities depend on student skills, academic performance and interview preparation. After completing my degree, I plan to secure a good job in my field, gain practical experience and continue developing my technical and professional skills.
