Likes

They have lot of extra curricular activity options student have lot of opportunities in sports arts and etc
They have huge campus and huge amount of foreign students you have chance to make new friends easily and knowing their cultures and take part in cultural events
They organise lot of events and party night for students to enjoy and take break from studies which change your mood and you can enjoy with friends and also take part in that events most of them are in night so you join them in night after your class

Dislikes

They have huge campus but no. Students in campus is also very big they have every crowdy campus which leads competition in every domain rather extra curricular activities and studies
They do not resolves students issues their management is so bad and doesn't resolves issue and they doesn't provide any support to students they have lot pf departments for every thing they have separate department but students problem doesn't solve
They take huge amount of fees but quality of education is low they organise lot of events but education level is very low they doesn't have that much good and qualifying professiors and they claim 100% placement but with term and condition

I choose this course because this line have lot of jobs and opportunity they can focus on skills development rather then scoring marks in exam they take lot of exams which can disturb students from skills development because in tech lines coding skills development and exams is 2 different things skills development is inp than exams

They increase tution fees every year for new batch they provide scholarship to every students on the basis of 12 marks , JEE mains marks , and their own exam Cucet but their is terms and conditions for this to maintain a scholarship you have 7.5 cgpa every semester and year to maintain Scholarship if you have below than that than their scholarship is vanis next year

Campus Life

My overall experience is in campus is not so bad they organise lot of events they also organised academic events live coding events so students take part in that and events to enhance our skills and sports events is also organised you can take part in that you can choose sports as your extra subject

Admission

They can give admission to everyone which is not a good things they doesn't have proper system for students they give admission to everyone they took lot of admission as result you have studied in a batch of 10000 students which lead unnecessary crowd and competition

Faculty to students ratio is good but my learning experience is they doesn't provide good study material and they doesn't guide students properly how to study and how to score good and not only about Marks they doesn't develops students skills If you want to interact with teacher you wait for a teacher because they doesn't have free time because of ratio

IIT Ropar- Best new gen IIT?

Likes

Campus was amazing, Size was around 548 acres.
Campus located in Ropar pretty close to Chandigarh giving us location benifits.
Placement opportunities especially for CSE students were broad. Research opportunities were great.

Dislikes

Core Branches placements lacked as compared to CSE.
Lesser opportunities as compared to prime located IITS like IIT Delhi. Even IIT Hyderabad regarless of the ranking has much more opportunities as corporate is there in Hyderabad more than Ropar and Chandigarh.
Weather was quite extreme. No ACs in hostels.

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good. The claimed average package is 25 Lacs these days. But the actual median package is for non CSE branch was as low as 8-9 LPA. Also international package boosts the avaerage package component.

CGC Landran - College with good opportunities in low budgets.

Likes

The fees was affordable as compared to other colleges or universities
Infrastructure was very good and hygienic.
Campus was secured very well and the environment was ragging free.

Dislikes

There were not enough skill building opportunities.
Learning was majorly focused on theory rather than practical.
Not enough good job oppotunities and compition was quite high.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum was little bit outdated as per the modren world expectations and needs to be revised with focusing more on practical learning and skill development seesions rather than teaching the same old subjects.

Good Campus Life, Great Exposure, and Plenty of Opportunities at Chandigarh University

Likes

I like the infrastructure of the university it has a great campus and so many shops there stationary and canteens available here.
I like the security of the Chandigarh university is so good guards and the cctv cameras are all around the campus
I like the quality of study and the knowledge the faculty provide us during the lectures and practicals

Dislikes

I dont like the attendance criteria in this university.
In some of the subjects we have to maintain 90% attendance and that is difficult for the most of students
I dont like the number of lectures in per week in this course like i have 26 lectures per week in my course

Placement Experience:

Placements here in this college are really good. Before the placements they give us all the information about the rounds in placements in the form of seminars and also there are mock tests for the placements and the interview trainings before the placement drives and the AMCAT exam which is for the placements.

I particularly liked my minor degree in Electronics and Communication engineer which is cover more on the modern Computer hardware concepts . Suggestion as overall faculty can introduce one course each semester as elective which student can learn apart from that branch.

The campus has good learning environment , helpful faculty , and facilities for academic and extracurricular activities

the fees are quite high , and more practical , industry exposure and intership oppertunities would improve the overall experirnce

Chandigarh university provides placemnet oppertunities with studnets becoming eligible in later semester . cse studnets can apply to it companies for technicall roles . i plan to gain practical skills .

My Experince at Chandigarh University: Campus Life, Learning and Growth

Likes

The campus is beautiful, spacious, and offers good infrastructure with modern facilities.
The university provides good exposure to technical courses, eventrs , clubs, and extracurricular activities.
The campus has good labs, a library, and facilities that support students academic development.

Dislikes

The fees are high and losing a scholarship due to cgpa requirements can create a significant financial burden.
More personalized mentorship and regular career guidance sessions would help student prepare for their future carees.
more internship opportunities would further improve students professional growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the CSE curriculum covers relevant subjects and provides a good foundation programming and computer science. It prepares students for futher studies and careers, through more industry-based projects and practical learning would be bemigficial. Exams include MSTs and ESTs, with a manageable difficulty level through regi;ar preparation.

Dislikes

Hostel food is not good but eatable and enough.
Dresscode is on wednesday that is must to wear.

Likes

college life of Chandigarh university is so good, all the events do happen .
teachers are so experienced and they are so supportive in here.
the placements in this university are great, all the big tech companies do visit while placements and provide jobs to the deserved students.

Dislikes

All the online courses should be reduced.
nothing is there in the university that is to dislike.
majority of the things are all good in our university.

Placement Experience:

The placemnets in the university starts from the 3 year only. companies comes in the 3rd year, students= can give interviews in this year, and they can get the NOC. wich means you can go for the job or the iinternship and there is no need to take the classes, because you are taking the indyustry level experience in the prior basis also.

Likes

Events are more frequent here and most of the stars from punjabi industry are called more often for film promotions
No ragging is there infact seniors are friendly and try to help juniors
TPP (training and placement program) is provided that help students to crack placements

Dislikes

Attendance criteria (minimum 75 % is essential to maintain to be eligible to give exams)
Class timings are fixed from 9:15 to 4:35 and you can not enter in between 10 to 12:00 PM as gates are closed for this duration
Strength is rapidly increasing as new courses are introduced which increases competition during placements

Placement Experience:

Placements are decent, from 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement students need to enroll in TPP(Training and placement program) in order to get eligible for campus placement, Many companies visit our campus for eg Capgemini, LNT, ZSCALER, EDIFECS, AMAZON, PWC, WATCHGUARD TECHNOLOGIES etc overall above 200 offerrs are made to our senior batch with the highest package of 32LPA and average package of around 4.5LPA. more than 60% of students get placed . I am also sitting for campus placement and wish to get placed soon
