Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

I think the curriculum is okay, they can not remove the compulsory subjects which is must to follow and apart from that there are many extra classes for your skills, it will be beneficial if you attend it well and clear your doubts with the faculty, with the real world it is not good if I talk about coding but then again you have to do your work to improve your skills and that's what it is needed to be improved, to teach more real life applications In the ways they are used in at companies, the frequency of the timing is okay but the classes are quite long but you will manage it, everyone finds a way, the exams timings are manageable, i took this course because I was interested in it.

Internships Opportunities

3

Talking about internship the college does not directly provide you with an internship with it gives you platform where you can apply for it and there are many opportunities that they provide, you have to be eligible for that and capable enough to clear the levels.

Placement Experience

3

From 2nd year you can try for jobs if you have the skills or else from 3rd year which is 5th sem you can easily try for a company, all you need is skills. There are various companies that visits the campus some stay some leave so there is no certainty, it depends on the companies but it's simple if you are capable enough then you will easily get the job.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fees has increased from 47k to 67k per sem and i don't know if it will be increased more, othern than that the hostel fee is around 55k per sem and there are hardly any scholarship, none that i can think of.

Campus Life

4

The social life is good, if you are a hosteller then you will get a lot of facilities and if not then also it is enough, and the events are always going on something or the other, there are various clubs so there's no insufficiency for that and any student can apply for that, that's not an issue and there's no impact of that In academic life is manage it well.

Admission

The admission process is easy the eligibility is around 80% or 75% in boards that's it with PCM. There's was a registration fees of 11k when I enrolled and I'm not sure about now and no further fee for admission and this registration fees is included in the tution fees later, there are no college admission tests here, and they do not enroll a lot of students but it is collaborated with CU so a lot of students sits for placements .

Faculty

3.5

Well I think there's enough faculties that can help you in every way possible you just have to treat them well of course, and they will try their best to help you out, talking about the class there are 70 students approx in a single class and for labs its divided into two groups, and also the faculty members are friendly so it's easier to communicate with them considering all of us are grown ups now.

We were offered placement assistance as it was an online program and i really think it is a good initiative because college are least bothered for placements for their online programs. As i had to pursue a career in marketing i started doing projects and internships in marketing and sales domain.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.
