Likes

I really liked how the faculty expertise the teaching methods and the mentorship quality of this college
There is a great opportunity once you enter the co circular groups like Dance, song, drama and sports

Dislikes

A little bit of placement issue rest everything was fine
Infrastructure could have been better for hospitality students

Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum provided was very helpful was completed within the given time with ample amount of revision. Sharing real experiences helped us tackle the industry in a much better way . And I think the teaching methods are okay till now.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

My complete course costed me around 2.8 lakhs including the scholarship I got for my class 12 board results . The college provided me with a internship in Bangalore . It was quite an amazing yet hectic part of life for us .

Campus Life

2 fests are organised every year LOGIN AND SANDBOX We have a Vectra as a fashion show . Various inter college competition Aangan is the society for all the cultural wellveings . Library is accessible and issue of books can be done through by using the ID CARDS.

Admission

Eligibility ( 10+2) With all marksheets Application form is available online I did not face any issue in admission process . It was easy and hassle free . They charges around 45000 for the admission and rest was divided with the 3 years .

Faculty

Interactive session with the faculties begin from Day 1 of the college . It is amazing how the faculties turn out to be very friendly and interactive once we enter the college through various events and sessions organised by them .

Interview Experience

There was not GD ROUND for my interview session. I only sat for PI round . And was asked abouty schooling , family , interest , hobbies , future goals . Next I was given my offler letter and I had to take my parents to college for some discussion and my admission was done .

Likes

I liked the food of canteen and cleanliness of our college
I liked the professor humour and technical knowledge about dedication of towards college
I liked the our playing areas and every month there food practical in our labs

Dislikes

I am not too much dislike but only this college feels like shooting place
I am not liked security guard smoking cigarettes in compound
I am not liking flower combination of mixing

Placement Experience:

From after 5th semester we students get eligible for campus placement offers to higher ranks posts for the students. The riot hotel,taj hotel other organisations for the students The highest package is 10 lpa and average lpa is 4. Percentage of students getting placement is 96.87. my plans after getting degree is to become cooks to serve people to where I am cooking foods and beverages

IHM Kolkata an experience

Likes

IHM Kolkata is one of the top colleges to pursue Hotel Management. The Campus is equipped with modern kitchens, well furnished labs, fully operational training labs. The Faculties are highly knowledgeable and industry trained.
Campus life at IHM Kolkata was very vibrant and dynamic. The college provides various social interaction opportunities. We used to have sports day, freshers party and farewell parties, an important IHM tradition is Gourmet Night.
All our faculties had experience in Hotel industry which allowed them to shared important insights from their practical experience. They trained us well in theory as well as practical.

Dislikes

I loved my college and the experience that it gave me, every faculty who helped to make me industry ready and the very supportive seniors who where their to guide me every step of the way.

Placement Experience:

The campus selection starts from 05th sem onwards. Lots of companies visit some are:- Taj, Oberios, Leela, HHI, ITC, Dominoes, Pizza Hut, CCD, Starbucks, Fairmont etc. I dont remeber the highest package amount but it was around 30k. 95% students got placement and for those who had difficulty getting placed the faculties would help them find internship or job through their reference. I completed my degree back in 2013 and got placement through the college and started working.

Hotel heaven

The faculty is serious about academics ,they teach with full potential and extract the best out of students , not sugar coating. The campus is strictly under discipline. There is academic pressure and opportunities to become better in all departments
The crowd is something I have remained dissatisfied with . But there are few gems be it senior or your own batchmates ,you'll find your people . Rather than that that campus life is top notch with gourmet events and culturals and various clubs and ac
Faculty here is serious ,devoted and knowledgeable. They try to teach from within each and every student . Obvious there's variations but overall academics is taken seriously here . Almost all students gets placed in good hotels and retails .

Dislikes

The crowd is not very accepting or indulgent . But there are people who you can learn from . Find them
Placement is taken very seriously here . More than 50 companies line up for recruitment. Even though the package is not high as per the course fees but in this sector they provide the best .
The industry in itself is tough . But if one is passionate enough they can reach high heights . There are prominent GM's and chefs that have graduated from this college hence the alumnis is very strong and responsible.

Placement Experience:

1. Some students get offer letters during second year if they show excellence in guest service . 2. 5th to 6th semester 3. Big hote groups like IHCL , THE OBEROIS ,ITC , HYATT REGENCY,JW MARRIOT ,NOVOTEL,THE PARK all big players of the field come for placement talk and placement here Big retailers like RARE RABBIT,MAC DONALDS , KFC,DOMINOS and other big retails companies recruit for management trainee and operational trainee Almost 80 percent students get placed . Highest average package has went upto 6 lpa during training period by some retail companies . I plan on to join hotel as a chef and then opt for masters abroad if possible

In the International School of hospitality management the class rooms are so good
In the class rooms we have air conditioner and projecter also

Thing I dislike in my college the campus

Things about i dislike in my college the practical lads are not good and so small in size

1.first think to do practical lads need now a days college faculties are change so faculties are need to improvement in practical knowledge and theory knowledge 2. Exam Frequency every 2 month college take a class test and Avery six months we have semester exam 3.specipic aspects of the curriculum after completing this course I got job in hotel crush ship and also retail secter thats why 4.This curriculum prepare my communication level and personality development

The Food and Beverage Production Lab enables students to acquire first hand culinary skills in production of Indian and International cuisine in individual and quantity preparations, Bakery and Confectionary delicacies.

Remarks:

The Food Service lab supports students to develop skills in international styles of Foods and Beverages display and table services. Both Production and Service Training have enough scopes to establish their innovative ideas too. The Front Office lab helps acquiring highest degree of etiquettes and protocols to handle people of Social, National and International VIP and Celebrities.

Reasons to not apply for NSHM Knowledge Campus

I didnt apply to any other college as i was told by my peers NSHM was a great college. The admission qas fairly easy i didnt had to sit for any exam all it took was the admission fees. I honestly like my time in NSHM

The admission process was a bit lengthy but the admission in charge here, Srijaya Maam, helped me very much. The eligibility criteria includes a 10+2 education. The application form can be found in the college's official website. Application fees is not that much as well and is quite reasonable.
