Likes

Very less fees if you are a student having domicile other than UP then the effective cost of your degree is zero.
Self regulated mess, so food is quiet good.

Dislikes

Low stipend in the internship. In internship IVRI offers only 3000 per month for 6 months
Basic UG infrastructure. Like UG classrooms are under construction. Most of the classes held in pg classroom
increase in number of courses and fees by the IVRI administration

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is same all over the veterinary colleges of India. As VCI regulates the veterinary education. The curriculum is comprehensive and practical oriented. Although theory aspect of every field is thoroughly covered bht a good practicals has been conducted in degree to learn everything.

Internships Opportunities

We have compulsory twelve months rotatory internship thus we have placed by our institute only. We have been sent to different veterinary units which includes different veterinary College, zoo, vaccine production, industrial visit, equine stud

Fees and Financial Aid

Well IVRI provides scholarship to every student except for the paid seat students. The normal fees is 58000 per year including hostel. The student of non UP domicile gets 3000 per month scholarship. The first three rankers receive 6000, 5000, 4000 per month respectively. Payment seat fees ins 5.5 lacs per year

Campus Life

Well my campus life was quite good with engagement of various curricular and social activities. I participated in the national of sports and cultural events. Additionally we have no restrictions to enjoy. So we enjoyed a lot with college parties on new year world veterinary day. Different festivals are celebrated bringing all india culture in the institute

Hostel Facilities

My hostel facilities are best. The hostel in which I am residing is OCB 3 we have attached bathroom and big rooms. A common area with fridge and TV. A regular cleaning staff is also given. Wifi is given in hostel. Message is adjacent to hostel

Hostel Fee: INR 1500 per year

Admission

Admission is basically given through NEET only. The neet ranks is quite competitive for general category students it is around AIR 30000 whereas for OBC 40000 SC/ST 1.4 Lacs AIR. The reservation norms as per government of India guidelines

Faculty

Faculty is quite approachable, calm and student friendly. Anybody can share any of their views with faculty. Faculty to student ration is quite good we have around 200 scientist in our whole degree. Most of the faculty is postdocs some are doctoral or master's candidate. As scientist used to teach students so we get best out of best

IVRI - A great colllege for veterinary education

Likes

Things I really liked was the infrastructure of the university.
Practical knowledge about the veterinary equation provided hear is best.

Dislikes

No internship stipends are provided by the college
Sports utilities are not well maintained by college

I am here after qualifying the neet exam. Firstly I was not convenient to take this degree but after choosing this I am very grateful for my decision.this degree provides multiple scopes in veterinary and other relative fields.

All about SVPUAT

Likes

I liked my college and it's infrastructure
I liked the minimum charges of the hostel.
I liked the maximum number of seminars and workshops that has been conducted

Dislikes

I hate rules and regulations of hostel and it's restrictions
I hate the restrictions on girls which has been implemented
I hate the canteen of the university. It's so dirty.

Placement Experience:

Since I am a second year student I don't know much about the placement. But yes university provides the campus placement that is for sure. Since there are different colleges so companies related to all fields come here for placement. My plans after getting the degree is to go for the government job.

Brief about SVPUAT college COVAS MEERUT

Likes

Library is 24hrs open and equipped with many required books
Have campus far from city but not very and can reach within hour

Placement Experience:

In an internship, students become eligible for campus placements. The average package for students is 6 lacs. Almost all students get placement and students go for a post-graduate course. And many students open their private clinics.

Life of a Veterinary Student at SVPUAT, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course, i.e. Veterinary Sciences, because I was keenly interested in the research areas in animal biology right from my formative years. I gained inspiration from my father and his colleagues who worked as research scientists at ICAR ( Indian Council of Agricultural Research). The faculty-student ratio is good, everything is according to the rules laid down by the government, as it is a state government institution. All the faculties of our college are doctors and PhD degree holders. The teaching method includes marker-whiteboards, projectors and learning by observation of the specimen. As of now, according to MSVE-2016, the schedule is annual, which includes three internal assessments and one external assessment at the end of each year. The duration of the course is 5.5 years, which includes one year of internship. Since it is a professional course, the subjects are not easy, and a consistent amount of hard work is required to retain the acquired knowledge and pass.

Best vet college in coming years

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements during the internship programmes. Placement shell is available at the university level. Various immunologicals companies, feed firms, etc. visits. others go for government Veterinary officer in states like U.P. or Gujarat. Placement is almost 100% if someone wants to serve as a veterinary officer in Gujarat.

HONEST OPINION/REVIEW ABOUT MY COLLEGE

Remarks:

Positive- The college is old and so prestigious, teachers, students, seniors and all staff are highly cooperative. A lot to learn to gain knowledge. Negative- Class hours are really hectic. Poor infrastructure of college campus.

Remarks:

The college is excellent in terms of infrastructure and facilities but the management is somewhat lazy on the administrative part, rest all the aspects of the college makes it an excellent place to study.

About college life

Remarks:

Safety of the students and staff is never compromised here . There are more than 60 security guards in the campus and everything is very efficiently managed here .

Personally I didn't applied for other colleges as I already choose this college long ago. Eligibility for admission is to Qualify NEET and score well. There are two ways to take admission - 1st through VCI counciling and 2nd IVRI councelling.
