Likes
- vit ap campus offers numerous opportunities and allows students to learn a lot to advance their careers. one of the aspects i really like about my college is start up programs like V-Launch where students gain valuable experience.
- Students can also get admission through AP EMACET through merit and the fees are around 70k per year only
- i like the faculty at vit ap, there are excellent and most of the professors being iit graduates.
Dislikes
- i don't like one thing in my college is that there are no trees merely one or two large ones. campus looks greenery but with only small plants.
- the construction happens all the time and i don't like that sometimes it disturbs our classes too.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum changes when I am in 4th semester. The old one is quite comfortable but with the new, we have to work hard as it requires 2 mids and 1 semester. and sem is 40% of 100% and the exam is 3 hours previous we have 2 hrs 30% of 100%. the paper pattern also changed from 6 questions to 10 questions and obviously, it's kind of a hard curriculum and I wish to change the pattern of the sem-exam. In the sem, we have 12 questions and we have to write 10 questions of the full syllabus, the time is not sufficient the questions are quite difficult as the faculty focused on gate level but we can answer the question to pass the mark.
Internships Opportunities
companies like corizo, techbook etc offers internship and also iit's also offer intenships with a stipend of around 10-15k. recently a boy got an internship from Google with stpen 50k per month. in internship, they teach us programs and how to do projects. we have to do capstone projects at end and we have daily tasks to do in Git Hub.
Placement Experience
from 6th semester we are eligible for placements. the companies like google, amazon, Infosys, tata, corizo etc more than 900+ compnies visit our campus placements. the highest placement is 63LPA. the percentage of getting placed is around 80 to 85%. i will try for good placement if not i will go for higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is based on the VITEE exam. there is no reservation in it only merit based. there are 5 phases. the rank you get in viteee through that you have counseling in one phase. As the phases increase the fee increases. you can also get admission through ap emacet a fee of around 70k per annum. besides these two there is also a scholarship program with 0 fees and it is provided to 10 or more students based on their 12th board, jee mains, and viteee exam.
Campus Life
We have to major annual fests. VTAPP is a technique fest with numerous tech games and hackathons that take place with cash prizes. and second is VITOPIA a non-tech fest there are events like V-Stepup, V-dance, and V-Rythum happen in the daytime and celebrity programs at night. there are various sports. we have around 150+ clubs like dance, singing, communication, social welfare, etc. Each student should be a member of a club for credits. clubs plays a major role where we learn a lot like hosting events and communication importance.
Admission
We have a viteee exam. if you secure a good rank and you can be eligible for any course the only fee for cse is around 3 to 4lacs but if you get a good rank it will be 1.5 to 2.5lacs. if you don't get a good rank. even though you can get any courses by paying the full fee which is around 4.5 to 5 lacs. The other option is AP emacet through rank you can get admission and the fee is around 70k per annum the cut-offs for oc are 5k, obc is 10-12k, sc 25k, ST 40k.
Faculty
Most of the faculties are good at teaching. the faculty and student coordination impacts a lot on our learning. most of the faculties are friendly and we can ask doubts and if you have any start-up ideas you can go to any faculty and discuss about them. many students are working under faculty guidence in research papers, start-ups, etc. The teacher's approachability is quite good and students always look forward to it.
